It works. Pet reunited with us.
TLDR: Easy to use and they definitely work. We got a cat returned to us. Please read full review. This was my 3rd one I have bought and used for a cat. I used 2 of these on a couple cats many months ago. They are easy to use and definitely work. We had one cat get out over the summer and was picked up by a local shelter. In less than a day the shelter had called and texted me and all 5 emergency contacts I had put on the chip registry. You will have to register the chip using either a free chip registry or a paid one. I used a couple free ones. *Disclaimer - If you have any hesitation or anxiety around needles, then do not try to do it yourself. It is easy as long as you do not hesitate when inserting the needle. All 3 9f my cats barely reacted.* Using the product: I highly recommend getting a microchip scanner before proceeding with this product so you can scan the microchip in the needle before inserting it in the pet. I bought a scanner from Amazon. A sharps container is also ideal for disposing of the needle. If you do not have one, you can search online for how to make your own sharps container. How I used it with cats. (Step 4 and 5 should be done calmly and quickly, but not rushed. This prevents the cat from being alarmed and struggling) Step 0: Only do this when you and the cat are both calm and relaxed. Step 1: I scan the needle to make sure the microchip works and the number matches what is on the packaging stickers. Step 2: I either write down the microchip number or put one of the stickers with the number on a piece of paper and then write down the pet's name next to the sticker/number. Step 3: I prep the needle by removing the little plastic piece on the plunger that prevents the plunger from being pressed. I'm right handed so I hold the needle in my right hand, but I keep the cap on. Step 4: with my left hand I pet the cat and give them some attention to get them relaxed. I then lightly pull up on the skin where their shoulder blades are so the skin is slightly lifted away from the bones. Step 5: I pull the cap off with my teeth, hold the needle at about a 15 degree angle, aiming at the skin I have raised up. I insert the needle about 1/2 an inch. (Do NOT insert the entire needle) then press the plunger. Pull the needle back out and release the cat. It's good to say something nice to the cat like "good boy! (Or girl)" Step 6: carefully recap the needle. If you have a sharps container, discard the needle there. If you do not, it is best to put the needle in an empty heavy duty plastic container. Tape the container shut and write "Sharps - do not recycle" on it. Throw it away in your normal trash. Make sure to always keep your information up to date on whatever website your registered it. If you change phone numbers or move, make those changes on the profile.

Gives me peace of mind. Saves $$
I saved money purchasing this microchip for the day my kitten was neutered. I wasn’t comfortable inserting this into his skin myself. Our veterinarian inserted it while he was under anesthesia. I registered it on a free international microchip tracking site.

Pretty easy
Pretty easy to use! My dog did yelp. The needle isn’t as small as I expected but we got it over and done with pretty quickly!

Wasn't brave enough to administer
I haven't administered it yet. The needle looks bigger than I thought. I'm going to ask the Vets office to do it

Easy to use, well tolerated
I am a dog breeder. I used to use AKC's chips. Found them large, big needles, clumsy inserters. These Manruta chips have a very user friendly inserter design, the small size makes insertion well tolerated by the animals. No problem with readability. Definitely superior to the AKC chips, and about one tenth the price.

Does the job. Dog skin is tough, push hard. Do not point the needle down or the chip will fall out and no longer sterile.

I love that every one of them was individually packaged and sterile. All chips where loaded and easily identified.
