Exquisite!
It's a a slim book, but packed with all that is needed. The content is explained and instructed in Yogani's clear and simple, yet thorough style. The practice outlined, is presentedfor safe, dynamic and effective development for the modern, dedicated Yogi, who might have to also juggle a busy modern lifestyle.

Practical instructions for samyama, the technique Patanjali describes in the third chapter of Yoga Sutras
"Samyama" by Yogani is the best book to date about Patanjali's third chapter of his classic Yoga Sutras. This book explains clearly and simply the practice of samyama - moving the stillness. It is the same principle involved in prayer. I warmly recommend the book to anyone who has practiced meditation for a while, and is interested in yoga in general.

The key
The AYP practices are the real deal. Samyama practice is the most beautiful of all. Several years ago, after many, many years of devoted meditation practice, one question still arose in my heart: all the great traditions ultimately call for surrender, but what is surrender, really, and how are we to do it? Here, along with deep meditation, is the answer.

Utterly disappointing
This is NOT the samyama as taught by Patanjali. If you want to learn about the real thing, check out the commentaries of Vyasa, Shankara, or Swami Janeshwara on the Yoga Sutras.Dharana = concentration, or keeping the attention in a single place or objectDhyana = meditation, "the continuous flow of mind to the same object" (unbroken concentration), and not "letting go" as the author says it.Samadhi = meditative absorption, or the perfection of Dhyana.Samyama = these three things taken together. The way the author describes it reminds me a lot of the misrepresentations spread in the west by Mahesh Yogi. It is not the traditional Yogic samyama. There are good ideas and advice in the book. Yet I'm giving it 1 star because it's suppose to be a book on Samyama, and they get the concept wrong. I was hopping to learn more about the process of Samyama, but didn't.

wonderful book
Yogani boils Samayama down to its essence and makes it easy to understand and apply. The AYP enlightenment series are essential reading. Awesome additional information and life changing already. Great job. I am thankful Yogani took on the tasks and applied his clear thinking and simple voice to these subjects.

Another great book by Yogani
Yogani is the go to author for a comprehensive range of books giving you everything you need to start and even complete your personal enlightenment in this life time. Samyama is a powerfull method of going even further with your meditation and like always is easily written in a non tecnical way which anyone can get to grips with.

Very interesting
This book presents a very complex concept in an interesting way. Well written as are the rest of the series, for a beginner it is hard to understand, but this book definitely helps one to begin the journey.

Samyama sehr gut beschrieben
