Amazing product, does what it says it does!
I was skeptical on this and did a lot of research and read alot of reviews. It is amazing and I'm so happy I bought it! Drys within seconds and really does wick moisturizer off the bottom of your feet. No more wet rug in front of the tub! My friends ended up purchasing one to sit under their dog's water bowl and it's stopped the water spills and mildew smell from him slopping water everywhere. Great product, have recommended to everyone I know!

Really works
I have a messy Golden Retriever that slops water all over the floor. This mat absorbs water so my floor stays drier.

It dries out as advertised
This thing dries out. I have been very impressed with its ability to absorb water and dry out. The two pictures are ten minutes apart with a wet footprint from my foot dripping wet when I stepped on it. Normally I dry my foot a little before getting out and hate that normal fabric mats feel damp after. With this thing it doesn't feel damp after stepping on it with my foot a little wet and it quickly absorbs and dries out the little water left on my foot. You can saturate it such as in the first photo in which case it doesn't really puddle but won't take much more water and will take more time to dry out but even then notice its almost a perfect footprint. it just pulls in all the water at the point of contact. The item arrived with a sort of pad attached I think but it was more attached to the Styrofoam it shipped in and ended up sticking to that when I unpacked the mat. I think its supposed to have it so it doesn't slide around so I peeled it from the Styrofoam and put it on the bottom of the mat after a bit of using it without. So I think it felt a little dusty to the touch when it arrived. against manufacturer instructions I decided to give the top a quick rinse to help with that and to test the absorbency. It seemed to dry out pretty quickly though sense using it I have noticed some slight warping from left to right that may be due to that or something about how it gets used. It is a noticeable warp but doesn't seem to interfere with use. it just flattens out when I step on it. The warp makes it so the two sides curve up a little with total deflection across the long dimension about a quarter inch.Overall I'm satisfied with this item and its drying ability though I question longer term durability with the warping as that didn't happen right away and I wonder if it will eventually break instead of flexing when I step on it. I also question the benefits vs the drawback of this type of bathmat as its not like you can wash it. The manufacturer instructions are to lightly sand the top when it gets dirty and they included a little thing for that. In my bathroom its too close to the toilet for something that can't be cleaned very well.I think they way they did the design in the product takes a way from the overall look. Its a little nit picky but the main design is broken up by the words Nice Day and I think it just comes off looking a little funny. their branding is also visible but easily missed in the corner as its smaller print. the design and the words and brand are all done by etching the top layer. The words and brand are a lighter etch so they don't really stand out. Since the pattern is a deeper etch it shows a different layer that is slightly darker. This is part of why I don't like the words as at a glance it looks more like a defect in the pattern or a really strange C rather than a positive life affirmation carved into the mat.

These mats are neat… but a PAIN to clean!!!
These mats definitely work!!!But BOY are they a PAIN to clean!!!The mat can only be sanded down if you want to clean it. No point in wiping it clean because the material is SO absorbent that you won’t be able to wipe it clean, even from dirt prints. So this kind of mat can only be sanded clean. I’ve done this. It gets really dusty really fast. Quite a messy process. But on the bright side, they provide you with a piece of sandpaper. So… yay?In conclusion, 3 STARS.The mat is absolutely good for what it says. It dries super fast, and doesn’t get moldy. No more soggy wet bath mats. But you will 1000% want to get it in a dark color because it WILL INEVITABLY get super dirty otherwise, and cleaning the mat is very high maintenance.

On the small side for a bath mat
I love these Diatomaceous Earth drying mats. I have them placed in a number of spots around my house... under the dishrack, beneath a 5-gallon water jug, under the cat's watering fountain. This is a good size, and I put it to use in my laundry room on the counter next to the sink. It's a good quality. Do check the measurements though. It's being marketed as a bath mat... but 15" x 24" is a bit small for my taste.
