Q: I have this set as high as it will gor (74F) but it is still 65F inside. Why?

First, how many cigars do you have inside (around 150 - 200 is a good start) and did you fill the water tank with the proper mixture of Propylene Glycol and distilled water. If you did the above and still have low humidity, you will have to ask NEEDONE or return the unit. I have over 230 cigars and the water tank is full with the propylene glycol and distilled water mixture. I set my unit at 74F and the humidity is 73%.

Q: Will it work in a room that’s between 72 and 68 degrees to keep inside temperature at a constant 70 degrees or will it get cooler because room temp?

Hi~ The temperature control of this cabinet is limited by semiconductor technology. Semiconductor cooling is influenced by the ambient temperature, and in order to maintain a stable temperature within the adjustable range, certain requirements must be met regarding the ambient temperature. This cigar cabinet can control temperatures within the range of 54°F to 74°F. Since it has a heating function, it is recommended to operate it within an ambient temperature range of 41°F to 78°F. By using it within this temperature range, you can maintain the internal temperature at the desired setting, such as 70°F. Hope it would help you. All our best wishes for you. :)
