This bag was much better than I thought for the price. The sizes of the spaces/pockets are very adequate. The materials are thick and durable, stitching is neat, zippers operate smoothly. Little pockets to organize and larger deeper pockets to stabilize contents. I would definitely buy this bag again but I don't think I'll need to for a couple of years.The two side zipper pockets will hold a large phone or a large hard case for safety glasses or sunglasses that easily slide out. Cases with rubber-type materials might have some resistance.The insulated pocket for food storage will hold an electric lunch box (9.76" L x 7.01" W x 3.94" H, 1.8 quart) to keep food cold at work until I (remove from bag and) plug it in to heat food- with enough room to add a large ice pack for longer storage. A hefty lunch can be packed but the space will not accommodate large drinks standing up.The padded areas for laptop -and- e-readers are thick. It will hold a larger battery bank and has a usb wire inside which is connected to an outside charging port. The largest back pocket for computer storage has zipper pulls that can be locked together for some security. There is a velcro strap inside to keep electronics in place.The pack will hold a lot but also has a buckle on each side of the pack to compact it if traveling light. The luggage strap on the back conveniently fits over the extending handle of a small cooler on wheels or -luggage. Shoulder straps are also padded nicely.Cons: Because so much can be packed away, a buckle across the chest would help prevent the pack from sliding off people with smaller frames. You will want some type of latch to put through the zipper pulls if the pack full because the weight might cause it to open unexpectedly. Both are easily remedied.This backpack can be used for multiple duties (work or carry-on when traveling) for adults but might not hold enough books for middle school through college students as a daily back pack. If a student travels light and has sports after school- this should work.

I had this backpack for 2 years and I abused the heck out of it. camping, work, beach, international travel, you name it. I freaking love this bag. The quality you get for the price is a steal! The zippers especially are the best zippers I've seen, used, and abused than any other thing I own with zippers. They are super strong and the silliest zippers. Its super comfortable on the back (even fully loaded with heavy stuff) and the lunchbox compartment came in handy so many times when carried food and drinks, but I've used it many times for shoes and other things I wanted to separate from everything else. Or I just didn't use that compartment and that gives more room for the main compartment.Dont hesitate and stop your search. get it now and thank me later. Its my favorite backpack. Highly recommended!

I have the kind of job that every day is different and given your assignment each morning. We may be on a boat (28') putting out bouys, driving a dump truck, mowing grass, working equipment (tractors, skid-steers, excavators, backhoe, etc.) or doing carpentry work and I am in charge of fuel records for my company. Since you never know what you'll be doing each day and likely be an hour from the office with stores (gas stations, tool stores, lumber yards, etc.) being 30+ minutes from site. If you don't have what you need for the job, then you're just out luckI said all that to say, there are plenty of compartments for whatever you need! I carry paperwork and laptop (space for both without it taking damage). A few hand tools (screwdriver with bits, box blade, small socket set, wire cutters, wire strippers, voltage meter, tool wipes. There are smaller compartments for my pens, markers, tire guage, my medication along with Tylenol, Tums and Benadryl. A small compartment for phone chargers, cords and earbuds. There is also a compartment for your ID's passport or credit/debit cards that is protected from someone stealing your info (came in handy on a Carnival cruise.The cooler on this bag has been improved with stronger material in thr cooler. I put drinks and lunch I had in the fridge in at 5:30 a.m. every morning and everything is still cold by lunch 12:00 p.m. ((WITHOUT a ice pack (zipped compartment inside the cooler for that too). With an ice pack, I've had 12, 16oz beers stay cold all day. I treat this backpack like a work bag, travel bag on fishing, hunting and vacation.I am rough on this backpack with work and everything else, especially since it's used everyday and it holds up! Once my first bag wore out after a couple of years, I immediately bought the exact bag to replace and will continue to do so. I use this bag far more/ use it beyond it's intended purpose.I highly recommend this bag to for whatever you may need it for!!! You'll definitely get your money's worth out of it!
