Imagine Creamy Potato Leek Soup, Organic, 32 oz

Not creamy and not flavorful
This is my first and last order of Creamy Potato Leep Soup. The best I can say it was edible. In general, I am a big fan of Potato Leek soups, but this one was not flavorful. It was rather watery and definitely not creamy. This soup was part of my first on-line delivery from Whole Foods, and the ordering and delivery worked well. 6 of the 12 items were out due to COVID-19 and I got texts with substitutions, which I could accept or reject. The delivery occurred within a promised two-hour period, with the substitution messages happening one hour before. WholeFoods, of course, is not a bargain. The price of the items and the delivery tip did make it pretty expensive. However, in the current situation, it is a very helpful option to have.Ali Julia review

Unpleasant
This was a total miss for me. It was flavorless and thin--sorta like what I imagine watered down school paste would taste like. Other reviewers mentioned ideas to add things that would make it more palatable. Well, if I had the time and ingredients to hand, I'd rather just make soup from scratch. As it was, I ended up tossing most of the container.I bought several varieties of this soup when they were on sale. This was the third one I tried. None have been worth a repeat, but this was the worst. I think I still have two other flavors left but, truthfully, I'm almost dreading them. I'm tempted to put them in the box we're preparing for the food bank, but I think that would be a disservice to the unsuspecting recipients.

Watery, peppery goop
This soup tasted funny. It was a cloudy looking, really watery soup. It says there are potatoes and leeks in the soup but I tasted neither. It had an oddly sweet taste and also tasted very peppery. Whatever natural flavor they use for this dominates it and it is just no bueno. I like Imagine soups but this one is pretty gross.

Vichyssoise?
This soup is not a Vichyssoise which I thought it would be, being that it’s made with potatoes, leeks, and cream, and thought it could be consumed cold. It wasn’t creamy at all and tasted nothing like a Vichyssoise. Its consistency was weak and thin too, and did not have a good flavor to it. Not worth the price.

Makes a very tasty vegetarian stroganoff, or gravy
I cook up a pound or more of vegetarian "hamburger" (I use Quorn brand "Grounds") with onion, salt and pepper . Heat that up with the soup and a fair amount of salt and black pepper added and you have a vegetarian version of a fairly good"'beef" stroganoff. I also use this as a gravy on Thanksgiving.

Add chicken salt, nutritional yeast, those are vegan items
Add green peppers from my garden jalapeño, and chicken salt which is a vegan chicken flavor is so good, and nutritional yeast, onion powder, lots of pepper, and just make such an awesome soup and I slice at the jalapeños on top

Flavorless and watery.
Pretty much flavorless and watery. I added the mashed potatos from Thanksgiving and some diced onion and it was delicious!

Canned soup taste.
Flavor tasted like a canned soup. Generally, I love leeks, but this soup was not up to par. Thick, but Tasted more like fillers than leeks. Won’t order again.
