Worked in my Hunter Ceiling Fans - this is how
My Hunter ceiling fans would only run slow - originally they were 3 speed. I bought and installed 2 of these capacitors (in 2 separate fans), and now they have 3 speeds again. I took some time to figure out which wire went where since the colors were all different from the originals. I am not an electrician and who knows when they will mix up the colors again - so try at your own risk, but this is what worked for me. I noticed that 3 of the wires are "push in" style, and 2 are wire nut connection-style. The 3 "push-ins" go to the pull switch connectors (note, 2 of these wires are on one side of the capacitor and 1 on the other). Purple wire went where original green was (#3 slot on pull switch). Yellow went where original brown was (#2 slot on pull switch). The "push-in" orange went where original grey was (#1 slot on pull switch). Don't mess with the black wire on the pull switch, this is the Load wire and does not need to be changed. Now you must cut the remaining red and grey wires on the original capacitor. Then I connected with wire nuts red to red and orange to gray. Again, this worked with the colors I was sent - no guarantee you will get these colors or that this is technically correct - but it did work in both my fans. I can not speak to the longevity of these capacitors since I only just installed them. Good luck and stay cool.

Capacitor works
Working in a hunter fan, Model #53312 replacing a capacitor #CBB61 with an original part # G0169-01. Slow is a little slower than the other 2 fans I have of the same make and model…and fast is a little faster. A good replacement in my opinion considering price and time to install. No buzzing noise from this cap either at any speed. Repair is simple just take you time and keep the switch off. If you don’t have wire nuts then use quality electrical tape like super 33 for a clean secure job. Original capacitor in the photos and fan model

Easy fix for speed issues of Hunter ceiling fan
This replacement capacitor works as expected. I found youtube videos for easy to follow instructions. You'll need basic tools like screw driver, wire stripper and connectors. This DIY saved me hundreds of dollars an electrician would have charged. Thank you Amazon and YouTube DIY community!

Much cost effective than replacing the whole speed control
Got this to replace the old one on my ceiling fan. Works great and is much cheaper than replacing the whole speed control unit. The fan was running really slow with the old capacitor, once replaced, it runs quite powerful.

Just right
I love my ceiling fan. When it stopped turning one day I went on line to replace it, only to find that it had been discontinued. Now I am not a DIY kinda guy but really love the design of my fan as it fits our room decor perfectly. So I Googled why is my fan not turning and found out this doohickey capacitor is the common culprit. I opened my fan up, looked up the model number and ordered it. It was fairly easy to install and after a couple of months is working fine. So if you are looking to get more life from your fan. I highly recommend this solution!

Used part!
When I opened this item it was in a clear zip lock bag that was quite worn. The capacitor appears to be used as the some of the wires were frayed and the labelling on the part itself was smudged and dirty. I really expect it was used somewhere else before it got to me. Further the colour coding on the wires was not the same as pictured. That being said I used what now may be considered poor judgement and used it by applying simple logic and matching wire locations. As it turns out all I get is a hum from the motor which is more than I was getting with the old capacitor, but still the fan would not start on it's own. Now I am asking for my money to be returned! If need be the capacitor can be returned but it will be with the necessary splices I made in order to get it installed in the first place.
