Cute cute story about being yourself, even when what you love is not what everyone else expects. Also a great story about friendship. Perfect for the 4-7 year old age range!

Our little one is 20 months and is starting to really enjoy stories at bedtime. We borrowed this book from the library and just had to buy our own copy. Our boy always sits and listens to this story and then he likes to go back through it and point out the animals, trees and toadstools in the illustrations. The peebles to him are "tweet tweets" which he finds hilarious. Mummy loves the rhyming and the flow of the book. A delight to read and a really lovely story.

Such a lovely story. Great rhyme that makes reading out loud really easy. Through the funny story some big messages weave through - friendship, identity, respecting and accepting those who are different from us. But it's all in a very light, child-friendly way.This is a book I want to keep, so we can keep coming to it in the future.
