Good for a switch up
"Better than folgers", says my husband. Came quickly and tasted fresh (although it had no expiration date on it).

Roast is just a little light
Been drinking Yirgacheffe a very long time. This medium roast, good as it is, is a little light but quite acceptable.

An Exciting Bag of Beans
I've been buying so many different types of coffee beans, instant coffee and ground coffee for the last year and a half. Out of all of them, this is absolutely the best.I'm a coffee addict and can't start my day without my usual 24-32oz serving. The stronger the better. The roast level on these beans is just right. Not beyond the "second crack" of the bean, but roasted just right for my taste. They do offer a dark roast variery, but I haven't tried it.I make this with a french press and steep for 3-5 minutes, cream & sugar always. I grind enough to have 1 cup of grounds for the aforementioned amount of water. Thick crema head. You'd be very lucky to find a 2lb bag of this quality at the same or lower price.I don't see myself buying from anywhere else as long as it is available. Superb.

Not the best Yirgacheffe by far
All the notes and flavor profiles I'm use to from a good Yirgacheffe are missing. It isn't a bad coffee, just not what I would expect, and price isn't the issue. You can get different brands in the same price range, and get a more well rounded cup. Overall it is just flat, even the smell of fresh grounds doesn't compare to what I'm use to.

Cutting down on caffeine!!
Great coffee. I am trying to cut down on caffeine and this is great. The flavor is rich. At first I saw how dark it was and thought it would be bitter, however I was very pleasantly surprised.

my favorite
This is my favorite whole bean coffee. I have been using it in a bean to brew coffee maker for a few years, and really enjoy each cup of coffee. The flavor is rich, and not burnt or bitter.

Ethiopian Coffee Fans Be Warned!
Ethiopian coffee fans be warned! Not a horrible coffee, but I do take issue with the company calling this blend Ethiopian only. The description says that the beans are Ethiopian and decaffeinated beans, but the company doesn’t qualify the origin of those decaf beans and still holds the blend to be only Ethiopian by label. I researched their site and found that their only decaffeinated beans are Colombian in origin. Suddenly, it all made sense. The beans themselves are dark and oily...not a typical trait of Ethiopian beans. The flavor lacks the bright fruitiness of Ethiopian coffee and, because I suspect that half of the beans are Colombian, the Ethiopian flavor is overpowered by the dark, smoky, somewhat bitter flavor of the Colombian beans. Therefore, the Ethiopian flavor is completely lost. While this is not an awful coffee, those who are expecting 100% of the beans to be Ethiopian in origin will be disappointed. Honestly, it strikes me strange that anyone would think that these beans are Ethiopian. The contrast between Ethiopian and lower altitude beans, such as Colombian, are like night and day. Reminds me of a darker roast drip-coffee from Starbucks.

Great coffee at a great price!!
This was great stuff!! Just finished the bag today and reporting my findings. This is a full bodied coffee with a dark roast. Flavor profile is dependent upon your grind and I tried a few different was for effect. An espresso blend is very strong ...almost too much to handle at some moments. I would compare this to an earth-toned chocolaty flavor with a definitive smokiness to it. Caramelization during the roasting process left behind some good looking beans with a nice oily sheen on the surface. I'm going back for more of this!
