It works without delay.
Ordered cheaper remotes and although they worked with my Samsung tv, they responded very slow. This remote works at the press of a button and even if it's not directly aimed at the sensor. Also, this is battery operated so I find that easier than the original solar charged options.

Love it with my AU8000, why can't Samsung just include this?
I hate, hate, HATE the stupid new "modern" slimline remote control that Samsung included with my AU8000 smart TV, with a half-dozen buttons, most of which are labeled confusingly if at all. Are they too cheap to provide a remote with the full complement of useful buttons that every remote in the past 50 years has come with?So I was very happy to find this remote, which claims to be preprogrammed to work with Samsung TVs the way Samsung should have done in the first place. I was a little worried since my particular TV was not listed as supported - but it turned out to work just fine.No more fighting through opaque menus to find a buried option that's traditionally one touch on the remote! Woohoo! And, as advertised, there was no programming required - I literally just put batteries in the remote, and it worked right out of the box, no muss, no fuss. Couldn't be better!

Perfect replacement for OEM remote
I had an issue with my original Samsung remote in how it operated the volume of my set when connected to a sound bar. This remote is an exact replica of the original (minus the Samsung label) and functioned flawlessly out of the package. Solved the volume control problem which had bugged me for months.

Works as soon as you insert batteries, no pairing or programming needed
As these Amazon reviews are for multiple devices, please note that my review is for the LG replacement remote. There is not a lot to talk about, because it's a TV remote and I encountered zero problems, but here's my story:I stuck two AAA batteries in (NOT included) and it worked perfectly out of the box! I did not have to pair it with my TV or do any additional programming. Every function on the remote works exactly as the one that came with our six year old LG TV. As you can see in the attached picture, the design is identical - the only visible difference is the lack of the LG logo on the replacement remote. This remote is also slightly lighter in weight than the OEM model, but that is of no concern to me. If you're looking for a replacement for your LG TV remote, this is a very good choice. I'm very pleased with this remote.

So far so good
Just got this today so if it suddenly stops working I may come back to change my review but so far it works on a Samsung TV, a Sharp TV, and a super super old, no Blu-Ray function Pioneer DVD player which is the reason I bought it but wasn’t actually expecting it to work.

This is not the remote I was looking for
I picked up this universal remote control to replace my missing remote control for my LG Smart TV. I was hoping for a perfect replacement, but just found myself longing for the remote I lost.Don't get me wrong, this *feels* like a solid remote. The plastic is sturdy, the battery lid is tight, and the buttons are soft and responsive to the touch. But this is where my excitement ends, I am sad to say.First and most important - if you have an LG Smart TV, this is not a remote control that uses LG's pointer feature - you can't point this remote at the TV and expect to manipulate a virtual cursor. If your TV doesn't have this feature then you won't miss it... but if you do, you will. The buttons are not backlit, nor do they glow in the dark. This makes pausing during a movie not the most-user-friendly. So, expect to either memorize the button location or don't use this remote in the dark.As for button responsiveness - I wish I could tell you that my experience was better than it was. It did turn on my LG television, but only after a few attempts. Navigating without the virtual cursor was painful. The buttons worked, but often I had to press a few times, and I was standing three feet away from the TV.I am sorry to say that this remote did not fit the bill for me. I plan to immediately restart my search in my couch for the original, and use this only in the event I have no other option.***OH SO!***Design is nice and the buttons are comfortable to touch***NOT SO***No virtual pointer for LG smart TVsButtons are not lit, so using in the dark is a problemButton responsiveness was not ideal in my instance
