Good for warehouse environment
I work 9-10 hours every day with heavy equipment parts and am on my feet all day working with customers at our part counter in our yard and in our warehouse. I walk log 3-4 miles in these every day. After about a month of heavy use they have been pretty good. I normally wear a standard width boot or shoe, but these are a little wider, especially in the toe box. If you want more room in the toe box, it works good for that.Standard shoe size: 11.5Size ordered: 12Fit: GoodPros:- Zipper makes it really easy to get these on and off- Comfortable insoles- reinforced material on the toe adds durability- the laces are decent material- bottom sole is a good materialCons:- Boot is a little wide so plan on using thicker socks. This is probably a pro if you are working in a colder environment and wearing these boots.- The top lace holes are actually normal lace holes, the picture makes it look like they may be hooks, but they are not. This isn't a huge issue with the zipper though.- they are a little wider, and with bigger feet, it's tougher to get the lacing down right so they are comfortable for all the ranges of movement I do daily.- full leather and no mesh means they don't breath well. If purchased, I'd suggest un zipping halfway through your day to allow your feet to breathe.- Lower quality leather. The leather seems to be a lower quality so expect it to scuff easily.Bottom line:The price on these boots at the time of writing this is about $150. This is a great price for what you get. You could definitely do worse at this price. Are they the absolute best quality? no, but If you are used to getting a new pair of work boots every 6-12 months, I think these will work for you.

I'm surprised at how much I like these boots
I used to buy the made in USA New Balance 990 shoes, but they got more and more expensive, and harder to find. Since I ride a motorcycle, I figured I ought to wear boots, but any other boots I tried killed my knees at work, as I walk around on concrete all day. I've been in these for almost a couple of months now, and I'm surprised at how much I still like them. They give good support- very solid feel. The insoles have great cushioning. The leather is decent, and they look fine. The only thing I complain about is that it's a pain in the a s s to lace them. When you want to lace them up tight, it's not like you can just pull on the lace ends and it cinches up. You have to pull a couple of eyelets down, and then the next pair, and then you can pull it tight. That's something I'd change, if I was NB. I'd make them in America too, or at least not China. But that's just me, apparently.

Great shoe...
Amazing shoe. Highly recommend. Strong durable and comfortable. However the shoelaces have already frailed. Replaced shoe lace

Very comfortable-New Balance who’d a thought!!!
I got these boots back in August ‘24, and, WOW(!) are they comfy. They’re also rather stylish too-I’ve had more than a few compliments about them, ppl asking me where’d I get them, those sort of things. And, yes New Balance-they make good boots. When I first saw them, I liked their style and look, but, being a Keen and Timberland kind of boots guy I had some reservations about getting NB boots. I mean, I know they make good athletic shoes(sneakers, for us “old heads”), but boots? I never knew. Well, now I do, and I will be putting NB boots on my radar. Matter of fact, I liked them so much I bought another pair, and just in the nick of time-the two pairs I bought were both $116 each, and when I checked the very next day after receiving my second pair, they jumped in price to $156! So my timing kind of saved me a chunk of cash. Anyway, again, they're really good, and I couldn’t be happier!

Favorite pair so far!
I'm a machinist by trade and have gone through 4 boots so far. I can confidently say these are by the the most comfortable and easy to put on/off. The zipper is sturdy and the velcro at the top of it is a nice added security for it. They are quite supportive for your feet and ankles. Also slip resistant. I plan on buying another pair. Overall: comfortable, sturdy, waterproof, and fits well on my extremely wide feet.

Comfort and cooling ability
Worn Thorogoods for years. These are by far new tech. I will see how long they last. The Thorogoods were good for 8-10 months in my environment. Zipper is a pain. NOT EVEN REMOTELY WATERPROOF OR RESISTANT TO WATER.

easy to get use to
I like all aspects so far of the boots. it's probably not going to change as I wear them longer I just don't know what the best part of it is yet. they did clear a metal detector several times. they are on the lighter side also.

Uncomfortable
These shoes are uncomfortable I would not spend your hard earned money on them. Return window has closed and now I'm stuck with expensive uncomfortable boots I will never wear. I Purchased some Keen boots instead and they are great!!!
