Very handy to use in the field!
I wish I had found this gizmo years ago! Comparison of a small crack to a scale is MUCH easier than measuring the dang thing with a micrometer and you surely can't use a tape measure for the small cracks.

Simple to use
As a homeowner who wanted to keep track of multiple cracks in a foundation wall this was exactly what I needed. The crack width gauge is easy to use. Giving an example graph and data table is a nice touch.

Handy, sturdy tool
Very handy tool. Sturdy. Great size. We sometimes wish the measurements went up another size or two on the high end.

The mm precision is great, which is why I purchased it
The mm precision is great, which is why I purchased it, but due to that precision the upper limits to the crack/gap/joint measurement is limited, compared to a harrington paper card that spans 1/64 to 3/8 of an inch. So for larger cracks and joints in concrete or flooring, this card basically becomes a $14 ruler. The harrington card also has a big fat blue arrow on the backside of the card, which is incredibly useful for pointing out the subject of a photo. The ink is slightly blurred when you view the numbers up close due to the printing process, which could be a lot cleaner. Good tool to have in the toolkit, only one I could find for purchase online, but I'll still be using another company's free marketing comparator to make up for this one's shortcomings.

Poor quality
Article was less quality than I expected. You can touch the printed letters, so with a light use deteriorates and become damaged.
