My phone holder installed on my dash gets a lot of sun. Previous disc was loosing adhesion so replaced with one of these. Holding on like new again. Good adhesive

I ordered this replacement dashboard mount when the one that came with my phone holder fell off after a few months. My first concern was that when I started to pull the adhesive cover label off of the side that was to be mounted on the dashboard, the side that was pre-adhered to the mounting disk started to pull away from the plastic mount instead! But I smoothed it back in place, then pulled off the protective label. I pushed it onto the dashboard and burnished it well to the dash. I waited 48 hours to give it time to really attach without any weight of the bracket. As soon as I flipped the suction cup of the phone mount onto the disk, the whole thing fell right back off. Total failure to stick.

The discs would not stick for more than a day to a part of my dashboard that had hard plastic. I tried attaching to the soft dashboard covering and it has stayed since. It meant my auto travel screen is not in what I consider an ideal location, but is certainly fine, just a little stretch to hit the touch screen.

After trying many liquid adhesives, I tried this to install my dashcam to my glass windshield. With the Arizona sun beating down on the windshield, my dashcam keeps falling down. But not with this, 3M products always comes through.

It's summer in Florida. No shade to park in and the interior of my vehicle gets to 140+ degrees. Yet, it's been 3 weeks and this pad is sticking strong. I do have it mounted to the window frit of my windshield, and its possible that is causing it to grip more efficiently than it might if mounted to flat glass. Working great for me.

Edit: Seller took the initiative to reach out after seeing the review and problem and offered a refund or replacement. Great customer service. Within the first few days of temps being 75+ the adhesive came completely off the product and is now stuck to my dash. Not the flat disk, just the adhesive layer. Really great. I can stick the thing back onto the adhesive spot but it will promptly fall off within a day. Find a better solution than this product.
