ER: Complete Seasons 1-15 [DVD] [2009]

I originally bought this complete box set a few months ago & discovered that a few disks would not play in my PS3 - Season 2, disk 2, side 2 & Season 6, disk 2, side 2. All of the disks are double sided. I reported this problem to customer services using the ring back option via the website & the problem was dealt with straight away & to my satifaction. I am very pleased with Amazon customer services. I quickly received a replacement box set & every disk up to Season 11, disk 3, side 1 have worked so far. The box set itself brings back memories of the original airing on TV all those years ago & how much I enjoyed watching it then. Although there are a lot of disks to get thru, 48 I think, I am enjoying every minute of every disk. Well written & acted, great character & medical story lines too. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad & also sometimes quite shocking. I use the English subtitles & they work very well. Other subtitles in different lauguages are also available too. It is interesting to see certain actors & actresses that have now gone on to star in other dramas who I think had made their debut in ER. One being the actor that now currently plays Taub in House. There are others too including Nurse Carol Hathaway who now stars in The Good Wife. I am now currently up to nearly watching all of Season 11 & don't want it to end. I am watching 3 episodes a night & since they are each about 43 minutes long, the epidodes seem to fly past quickly. I highly recommend this great, iconic, American medical drama box set !.

Make sure you have some time on your hands before you purchase this box set, because it is compulsive viewing! I am yet to come across a dull episode in this series. Every episode pulls you in with it's original, and often outrageous, plot line. The acting is superb and the characters are totally believable. You will be amazed by how many familiar faces you see throughout the series. It seems like in order to go on and become a successful actor, you'd of had to had a part (however small) in ER at some stage. I love the way the characters are so subtly developed over the episodes, you gradually have more and more of an insight into why the characters are the way they are. Expect to fall in love with a fair few of them! I love this series! I couldn't recommend it enough. Be warned though, every episode leaves you wanting more. But with 22 episodes in each of the 15 seasons there are enough hours of ER in this box set to satisfy any fanatic. Enjoy! P.S. On some discs they include a blooper reel which is absolutely hilarious, and definitely worth watching!

As a long life fan of ER since the 1990’s in remember this back when it was 1st on, it was such a fast paced drama, set in Chicago with characters you fall in love with & your hooked, in my opinion the BEST tv show ever made & Groundbreaking for its time in the late 1990’s dealing with AIDS, Domestic Abuse & Religion & Sexual Orientation, it’s still on CBS to this day but they don’t play it from start to finish, so I bought this to watch at my Leisure, I just wishing was on Blu-Ray DVD 📀 but it’s a great Box Set. Quick Delivery in less than 24hrs Highly recommended 5***** 5***** 5*****

Was really pleased to get the full 15 series in one set and at a reasonable price. As a relative latecomer to the series it was great to start from the beginning. Discs are double-sided in format and am concerned this has caused some quality issues. Hopefully it's a one-off with my set but some episodes cut out and I've had to give up on them, which sort of defeats the point of owning a boxset in the first place. Am interested to know if this is just a problem with mine..

I haven't watched it all yet but so far this is a really good show for me as I like medical shows and especially casualty and holby city

I have never saw a single episode of ER while the series was on... Well... never mind - I can now be 'living' in my home cinema system while I'm seeing the all 15 Seasons of it... I guess I'm around the middle and let me tell you, it doesn't disappoint in any way. Actors leave, we are sorrow, but the arrange great storylines and new actors come in, while a core remain, other leave and return, but the writing is very good and like Grey's we really care about the characters and there relationships, not the medical cases from one episode to other... It's a miracle it last 16 season without been cancelled like other great tv shows. This prove, that against all, it is possible to keep a series 15 years on TV, and keep the viewers interested and the rating up, so the networking don't cancel the show. It's a shame other don't have this opportunity - 10 out of 10 points for this one - a must buy!

Due to reading some of the recent reviews here I decided to check the discs for all 15 seasons, randomly checking episodes from each season as I went. 3 discs didn't play straight off but after a quick clean (I had the sames "grubbyness" issue with my Friends box set) and reload they were fine, no discs were missing or had the wrong episodes. Now that panic is over I'm looking forward to reliving the earlier episodes and seeing the later ones, which I missed when they were originally screened on TV. Winter is coming and so is ER!!!

"ER" was an outstanding show, with some seasons being better than others (as is the case with all television shows). I jumped on this set as it's not available here in the U.S., and the price point was excellent. The problem is, not all of the DVD's function correctly. Also, there are some DVD's that are not included (as other reviews have pointed out). Amazon has a 30-day return policy. It's understandable in some instances, as it probably limits return abuse. There are some products, however, for which a longer return policy makes much more sense. Case in point: "ER Complete Seasons 1-15" (or any DVD series with a good # of shows/disks). There are 331 episodes of "ER." At 40-45 minutes per episode (without commercials on DVD), it would take anybody longer than 1 month to watch the entire series. Unfortunately, by that time you can no longer return a defective product. So it's incumbent upon you to watch the entire series (to check for defects) within 30 days. This isn't realistic. I'm very dissatisfied with this purchase.
