The Hellfire was easy to instal alone
I've lost track of how many fairings & windscreens I've bought over the last 40 years. I currently have a Slipstreamer Enterprise on an 82' Suzuki GS550L, and the Hellfire on a Honda GL650. The Hellfire was easy to instal alone, and provides just the protection I was looking for. I bought it in clear, so as not to detract from the old Honda, but I think it enhances to look of the bike too. I could ride all day on the Interstates behind this windscreen. I've owned factory frame mount fairings on a BMW k75rt, now with a Parabellum windshield, & Goldwing bike, a Vetter on a Suzuki GS1000, a Pacifico Aero on a GS650, and handlebar mount fairings on a Suzuki T500 & GT380, and Slipstreamers on a Suzuki 250 two stroke & a GS250, and a Honda GL500. For the money, protection, and ease of installation Slipstreamers are the best I've found.

08 Vulcan Custom 900 Instal
This is a decent shield and I would recommend it for anyone with a Vulcan custom. Less expensive than one from Kawasaki. In the box is the windshield and the necessary hardware to mount it to the forks and the handle bars. Took me a total of an hour to do the install and fine tune the angle and fitment due to the number of pieces. For an aftermarket product this one is very good. Sturdy construction and simple enough to figure out the assembly. There is minimal buffeting to the head and helmet at any speed. There will always be some wind and buffeting happening. If you are trying to eliminate wind hitting your head all I can say is drive a car not ride a bike. A good polish on the helmet and the wind glides right over me.The shield block the majority of wind off the torso but still allows enough to pass around and under to keep the rider cool at cruising speeds. For the Vulcan owners- when mounted properly this should ride on the headlight just past the the ring that retains the headlight. Since this is a universal windshield there will be gaps on either side of the light and in front of the forks due to the curvature of the shield. When mounted correctly there is plenty of clearance when turning from lock to lock on the handle bars so no interference occurs. All-in-all I would recommend the Hellfire product to anyone.

Great wind screen but not so great customer service
I would have given this all 5 stars but the mounting hardware pack was missing two parts and it took me over a month to get the two plastic barrel nuts i needed. Then when i went to install the brackets on the shield itself the nuts they sent me would not tighten up on the shield so I had to make two extra rubber washers out of an old inner tube so that there was a rubber washer on both sides then it worked great. It fit my Yamaha Maxim perfect and worked well on the one ride i got to go on before it snowed thanks to the crappy slow service people.

Shadow VLX
I write this in order to help other riders. My SS-24 came literally within 24 hours at no extra charge. I found it fit my Honda Shadow VLX without any problem - at all. It is a little smaller than the photo indicates, but after about 1000 miles in temps down to 40, or so, it cuts the wind great. A small amount of buffeting if placed too low. Work with the placement and it'll be fine and keep the wrenches on the bike for a few hundred miles to tighten things up. A little lock-tite maybe, I just let it rust and that seemed to work just as well. I would buy it again if I needed. Somehow it fits the look of my bike naturally, but my bike is a small cruiser.

Run this on my XS1100
I put this on/off my XS1100. Helps immensely on long trips with wind fatigue or during the colder months to keep you warmer. The only thing that is a bit annoying as the over time the mounts become loose and you have to keep re-tightening them. Maybe some blue threadlocker would fix that, I'll have to see.

SlipStreamer Hellfire Review
I installed this myself on a 2003 Honda Shadow Spirit 750. (See photo.) Not super-easy to put on. I did finally get it right after 4 hours of trial and error. Finally I watched a YouTube video which helped a lot. The look is fine - not too noticeable, as well as a nice shape. Seems to work well enough. Better than no windshield. Of course not like a full fairing. For the price I paid ($110) it is a fair deal. I am satisfied, though not overjoyed. If it improves the gas mileage by making the bike more aerodynamic, I will give it another star.[The windshield did seem to improve my gas mileage. After 80 miles, instead of 45 mpg, I got 53! I added another star!]

Great product for the price.
This windshield really cant be beat for the price, while I would like it if it were an inch taller I am also taller than average. I put this on a 2000 honda shadow ace. While it took some fabrication to get installed I still love the product. If maintenance is kept properly then this windshield will serve you well. Sturdy and great shipping. Would definitely buy again.

I like the Hellfire because it sits high enough to divert ...
This is my second Hellfire I have purchased. Fits my 2008 Honda Shadow Spirit perfectly. Took me 20 minutes to install (previous experience). The first one broke when my motorcycle fell over do to my negligence. I was on an incline with a hole in the asphalt. Anyway. I like the Hellfire because it sits high enough to divert the rain and the brunt of the wind from my body. Yet, I still get that wind in the hair ride. Recommended to my fellow riders, my son and friends.
