I love this printer. It lasts a ream of paper before requiring a toner cartridge, and you don't have to purchase Brother cartridges. It connects easily, even over the internet. I can print in the same room or across the county, whatever. It prints front and back on everything from legal paper to index cards. My only complaint is the inability to scan both sides without intervention. I will never buy an inker again.

VueScan from Hamrick proved to be incredibly useful for scanning a few pages, working flawlessly without any hassle. The setup and testing only took 25-30 minutes. After just one day of use, I highly recommend it and anticipate many years of great performance.

Brother continues to make great all-in-one printer/scanners. Color laser so you don't have to worry about your ink going dry. 2-sided printing. No "security" features to prevent you from using 3rd-party toners. Wonderful scanner (although this model doesn't support 2-sided scanning). Nice wireless network connectivity (although I personally wish it also had wired network connectivity. It is wireless ONLY.)

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I just love this printer, or at least I did!!! I am not a fan of WiFi for always available connections like servers and shared printers. I purchased this printer in June of 2024 (now Jul 2025). It has performed well for the 1st 8 months. About then, the Wifi would go intermittent, even though it shows a 65Mb connection as good. It is about 30 ft from a WiFi AP and no other devices are experiencing this issue at that same location. After resetting the WiFi connection on the printer and manually setting a static IP, it usually would start working again. DHCP stop working long ago.Now it says everything is connected with a strong signal, but no communication. The Brother nettool worked on it one time to fix the connection, but even that can't find the printer. Tried enabling and disabling WiFi and now it is working again.... Till next time I need to use it. :(Don't get me wrong, I like the printer, but am buying the wired ethernet version for its replacement.

Great for my small business printer!

I used to work with HP and was always happy until it came to the toner replacement. That's why I decided for Brother and now I'm completely happy. Brother does not force you to buy overpriced, expensive Toner and Brother even offers their tone for a decent price. The printer works well and fast, does good quality color prints and was easy to connect with my Apple equipment.

This printer is an absolute workhorse. It took a bit of setup to get it to connect to my laptop via WiFi, but now it works fine. The print is of great quality and toner seems to last a good long time.

Only had it a week but so far, so good. This is my first home laser printer. This the weighs a ton. I almost needed a fork lift to get it from my front porch into the house 😂. Fortunately, the printer is in a big bag with handles that allows you to easily lift it out of the box. Set up was fairly easy. Although I could not get the printer to connect to my home Wi-Fi network through the Epson app that I downloaded for the sprinter so I ended up just going through the printers Wi-Fi set up and connecting it to my route, which went very smoothly other than that, the printer set up was pretty straightforward. The iPhone app that I am using and downloaded works really well through the printer. I’m glad I don’t have to do all that my former old Epson inkjet and do it all through my computer ,so that was nice. It’s no speed demon, but it certainly has a very good quality. Print I’ve done a little black-and-white a little color only a weekend so time will tell but so far I’m very happy with this printer.
