These were the most slip resistant, solid color patterning, matte color we could find. They are also thick enough that they seem to do a good job protecting the table. We just wipe them off with a Clorox wipe after eating and they dry fast. Exactly what we were looking for!

these mats are great for protecting wood table tops. we have small children who like to slam everything against the table and these mats are thick enough to stop the wood underneath from denting or getting scraped. The rubber material has a nice finish so it doesn't feel like a rubber mat, but is still easy to wipe clean. The mats are very flexible and lay flat even after being rolled up in a drawer for days

These are ok. But really thin so any increases like folding can be really hard to get rid of.

I just checked my Amazon account and see that I have now ordered 10 different placemats in the last three years. Most are plagued with problems relating to glasses tipping when someone puts down their glass. Most are problematic with respect to staining and the difficulty in cleaning them. We use placemats daily at our dining table to help protect the wood table and add to the decor. We often have guest who may join us.PROS- The material is dark. Scratches, dirt, and stains don't readily show up unlike light colors or white. Those colors don't last long especially when you have a few messy guests. We find that some of our light colored placemats hold up pretty well, but stains are still noticeable.- See the photo of the edge. It shows that the placemat isn't thick and is close to the table. This is really important unless you like cleaning up spills when a guest places their goblet of wine or glass, so it is half on the mat and half on the table. I can't tell you how many times we had to clean up from a thick placemat (usually woven, natural fibers, or fabric) where this happened and the wine glass tilts and falls over.- The placemat surface is slightly textured which helps keep the placemat, plates, and implements in place. There aren't any holes, groves, or other texture crevices for gravy and food particles to get stuck in. This makes it easy to clean with a damp cloth. Many of the silicone type of mats are textured, which looks pretty, but makes it very hard to clean.- The faux material is easy to wipe down and clean without the need to machine wash, dry, and iron as with cloth or woven fabrics. Just wipe them down with a damp cloth and air dry.- The material doesn't wrinkle when stored and placed into a drawer. There is no need to iron them. When put on the table they flatten out quickly.- These placemats show off your steel and gold silverware which contrasts and looks brilliant against the dark placemat.- You are less likely to feel embarrassed with a soiled placemat when inviting guests since these mats clean easily. I've had guest complements on our nice dinnerware settings. One even took a picture of it.- The placemat material is heat resistant which should help preserve and protect your dining table.CONS- Lacks the frills and trims of more decorative placemats but could also be an advantage as there is less to soil or have silverware caught up on.- There are prettier placemats but just be prepared to toss them after several uses or spills.

These places mats are durable, easy to clean and make the perfect addition to my kitchen table.

I was looking for every day placemats. At first glance these placemats looked like they would the job, however, I found that they are hard to clean. I had to use an all purpose spray because soap and water didn't work. I also found that they puncture and indent very easily leaving a mark. I would not recommend these mats.

These Faux Leather Placemats are a beautiful deep rich red color. They look stunning with all kitchen and dinning room decor. The material is sturdy but soft, and very easy to clean.

Good pack of mats. They’re not the most stylish but they’re functional and keeps the table protected. They can easily crease so watch what you put on them, and how you store them. Probably not best for long term use unless very careful with them.
