High speed cutters can be used for shaping, hollowing, grooving, slotting, making tappered holes in soft metals, plastics and woods.

Great bits!
These are great for engraving, and MUCH finer than the normal bits you get in the Dremel kits. I've only used them for wood so far, but they work great. Imagine drawing with an only slightly blunted pencil and you get an idea of the line they can create, albeit with a rounded tip. If you've got the standard larger ball engraving bit, and want something much finer, these are them. Really quite impressive.And delivery was very quick!

These are very useful not just from an engraving standpoint. I build model railway structures using a lot of cast plaster (modellers will know of the 'Linka' system) and these can be embellished, or, plain casts can be decorated as require. So far I have used the engravers on plaster and wood with an experiment on metal - I surprised myself with metal. I am delighted with the product.
