I loved Jrrru and Tabitha. So different but still so perfect for each other
The ‘Risdaverse’ series has brought me so much joy that I’m always excited when I discover that there’s a new book coming out. I was even more excited about this one because this one is about Jrrru. (His younger brother Hrrrusek was the main male character in the previous story ‘When she’s fearless’.)I know I have said this before, about other couples in the Risdaverse series, but I think I found a new favorite couple in this alien series. Tabitha and Jrrru were so perfect together. I loved them so much.Bad experiences as a slave had made Tabitha paranoid, distrustful and antisocial. Now that she was finally free and living a quiet life on the planet Risda III, she wanted to be left alone. Her priority now was to make sure that she was never abducted again. So she bought and made weapons to feel safe, she set traps around her house and locked herself up in her house where she felt safest. The first meeting with Jrrru had me laughing, it was so strange, awkward and surprising for both of them. It was a special first meeting. But it quickly became clear to me that Tabitha wasn’t as tough as I thought and I was right. Tabitha hid a sensitive and kind heart. I loved how patient Jrrru was with her. He gave her all the time that she needed to trust him. He wooed her in a light, kind and patient way. He accepted her just the way she was with her little quirks and her very cautious way of living. Both were lonely, they felt like they didn’t really belonged and weren’t accepted by the people around them. Jrrru because he was a praxiian, an alien race that was feared by most and specially by the human women. And Tabitha because she kept everyone at a distant, afraid to trust and be hurt again. You saw both characters grow during the story, it was lovely to see.The story was again told from both POV’s and had the same vibe as all the other stories in this series. Part fun, emotional, steamy and easy to read.I loved this story and I’m excited for more stories in this alien world and series.

When She's Wary
I love this series. This is a fun, fast-paced, well written read with a happy ending. All of these are stand-alone alone and are still connected.

Oh the slow burn and the wooing, loved!
I love the Risdaverse series and even when I read one I don’t necessarily connect as well with, I’m still thrilled to continue the series. I have never dnf’d one either so I knew I was going to devour When She’s Wary as soon as it released. This is probably my favorite Risdaverse too (although Bad Guy and Worse Guy are up there even though they’re not “officially” within the series; the couple from Bad Guy make a cameo here). I loved this book from start to end and it made my heart enormously happy.Jrrru (H) is a Praxiian (cat like alien) who’s on Risda III to be with his brother who recently mated with a human woman there. His brother and his mate like to use noli, which is an aphrodisiac for the Praxiians and Jrrru accidentally gets affected by it too, tries to counteract it, makes himself horny and sick, and gets the brilliant idea to introduce himself to one of the neighbors. Tabitha (h) is a weapons-loving, trap setting, cautious woman who needs to feel safe and have access to certain necessities after the abuse she suffered during her abduction. She’s not excited to discover a sickly Jrrru on her porch but she still helps him, while making it clear she’ll take him out if necessary. Written in first person, dual POV. No ow/om drama and neither are virgins (no details given really).Jrrru is enamored with Tabitha’s prickliness and this encounter leads to the most patient, sweet wooing of this series imo. Praxiians are territorial and protective of their mates and they do “mark” their mate’s territory as part of that so fyi, there’s some cultural discussions that take place too. I loved how Jrrru embraces who Tabitha is and is supportive of what makes her happy. Tabitha slowly lets him in and the slow burn of their relationship was just amazing. I thought both characters showed some growth with Jrrru learning not to lean so much into his charm and Tabitha learning she could be safe and depend on others despite the horrors she experienced (I do think this story addresses the abuse some of the women went through and the aftereffects more so than some of the other stories). The intro of steam and the slow nature of that progression was also perfect. And y’all, there’s no third act breakup.I would 110% recommend this one! The story ends with their HEA and a short time jump ahead that’s steamy and sweet. I’m really hoping to see these two as cameos at some point.

Yay, another Risdaverse novella!
These heroines on Risda III are quite entertaining. Tabitha, in particular, is hella fierce, and I absolutely love that for her . . . And the Praxiian she ends up mated to.4.5 stars

Good
Good story but a slow burn obviously with the title. The cat race isn't my favorite but still a good story line.

better than the last one…
3.8 / 5.0 This was short and sweet, but has a smidge more development in the characters than the one before it, Chelsea’s story. The ML (Jrrru) is brother to the FL (Tabitha) neighbor (Chelsea). The beginning of this relationship is hinted to at the end of Chelsea’s story, so we are all already familiar with the noli incident this book opens this story. The sex is still messy and hot, the FL still has deep trauma from her abduction from Earth to work through, and the ML seems to shift personality during the book, though that might have been starting already from the end of the last book. It is best to read that story first to be fully introduced to these characters and their personalities.Dixon touches on some good points when she talks about the irresponsible actions of the ML causing problems for those in his life that he doesn’t take ownership of or ever apologize for, but it is not explored.Overall, you can tell this isn’t fully fleshed out because there are jumps of time and we just come back to the characters having been “courting” for 5 months or living together for a week, but the development of the relationship is done offscreen. It could be more but Risdaverse books aren’t for more, they are fast fun! It’s good. People that enjoy this series will enjoy this one. Someday maybe there will be a 20 book compendium and you can read all the short stories of these couples learning to love and live.Until Next TimeMC

Top Buch . Danke hierfür.

Sweet Barlia 😂
This novella is to some extent so sad as Tabitha is so damaged by her abduction from earth. Its also so sweet to see her thawing under Jrrru's wooing. Praxiians have a bad reputation in the Risdavese but I really liked Jrrru and his brother also in the previous book, there was also another Praxiian in one of the first books in the series (When she purrs). Aliens like humans can be good and bad and that's why I love the characters in RD writing as they always have some depths which make it a pleasure to read! 😁Long may it continue.

Excellent
Oh this one made me cry but I loved every minute of it. Jrrru was one patient and lovable MMC. I loved the interaction between both the Mcs. Can't wait for another in this series.
