such a unique find, i looove lava lamps and when i saw this one with the colors specifically (being that ive been dying to find something orange/purple/pink/yellow like the sunset) i knew i had to get it. the black wiggles are actually fuzzy velvet texture which threw me off at first (says it on the box but i guess i bypassed in the pic?) but you dont even notice in person unless youre close up on it, but from afar its 'normal'. its too cool to care about that. just adds character is all. the colors when its warmed up and moving is so beautiful and star wars like. now my collection has 2 and im eager for more.

Nothing beats the original. The striped, flocked fluorescent type I ordered shown wonderfully in the black light spectrum. I always wanted one when they came out, but somehow never got one. And now 50 years later, I think I picked the perfect one. I can see now why they have been around for so long; it is a great relaxant. Highly recommend!

It looks exactly like listing photo gorgeous pink and orange also plugged right in and worked perfectly within a few hours. I’m very happy with it. I have other lava lamps that I use every weekend for a year now and they’ve held up well no need for a replacement bulb yet.

I bought this for my son who absolutely loved the orange and purple colors and the groovy design of the base and top, but although we completely followed the instructions, the lava lamp never worked! Although the wax melted in the bottom, it never started to flow upwards and downwards like a traditional lava lamp should. I’m very disappointed but will likely order one more to see if this might have just been a one off defection because my son is so in love with the design. I really hope the next one works! I’ve seen other reviews where they do work, so I’m hopeful that number two will be the lucky charm! it’s just too bad that I’m outside the return window at this point.

Daughter is getting into Lava Lamps. She absolutely loved it. Was cheap but works perfect. Has the normal amount of lava lamp light. Seems sturdy enough. Doesn’t seem to run hot.

So I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying their lava lamp doesn’t work, so this is less of a review and more of a PSA. The wax separates sometimes due to how the lamps are stored because temperature messes with the wax density. All you have to do to fix it is pour the water out, reheat the wax and mix it together, then once it’s hardened you pour the water back in and let it run for a few hours before capping the lamp again. It’s pretty easy to do — easier than returning and getting a replacement just for it to have the same issue.

The media could not be loaded. I just got the groovy fuzzy flocked lava lamp and it does not even turn on. Just contacted customer support. Will update when I hear back. I tried all the troubleshooting options recommended by Amazon.*The seller is working with me, is sending a replacement bulb. Will update when I receive it, will be 7-10 days. Frustrating I have to wait so long for a resolution not even a guarantee. But it's something.** Sender sent me a replacement bulb, took a couple hours to get warmed up but it's going now and it's rly cool. Great addition to my room and great customer service.

Got it over a year ago and it is on 24/7. He commented to me last night how much he liked it after we have had it for so long. It’s a nice nightlight for him
