Great value for the money
If you have the patience of a saint and a steady hand, then buy this and fix your key fob yourself, or get someone who can instead to do it for you.

Excellent replacement key fob
Needed to replace my key fob as the key broke out of the original. This is an excellent replacement, I removed the pin holding the blank key, inserted the original key and replaced the pin, all quite simple to do. After replacing the transponder and assembling the fob it all worked perfectly.

Great product
Great product and easy to assemble. Literally took less than 5 mins to take apart my old key and insert the chip, battery and key blade into this one. Key works a treat and looks really smart. Wish it came with the little Vauxhall disk/ badge for it but will have to buy one separately

Patience is all that's required.
After nine years, both existing key fobs for my Vauxhall Insignia were completely worn out with the tiny "remote" buttons showing. I ordered one of these to try it out, but I have just ordered a second one because swapping things over was so easy.I didn't bother trying to get a new key cut so all I did was:o Dismantle the new fob to check how easy that was to do. (All the bits just click together so "easy".)o Dismantle the old fob by first removing the battery cover and then gently opening up the rest to release the old key and the electronics.o Work out how the old key "flipped" out and had a practice run with in on the new fob. (I used the new spring and new activator for this.)o Checked that the old electronics board would fit (it did) and then "jiggled" the two halves so that they fitted together. (This was a real problem until I realised that there is a tiny hole in the electronics board and an equally tiny peg in the new fob so that they are properly orientated within the two halves.)o Click the two halves together and then test that the new fob works. It was "half perfect" because I didn't wind up the spring that drives the key enough. However, I have left it as it is because it's still 10 times better than the one it replaced!

Done its Jon.
Good product. Was able to remove my keys components and reshell really easily. Only 4* as the key flip sometimes doesn't feel like it's locked although it is. Or slow to open. But has being wound round. But overall was a great But of kit and able to change blades easily.

Good product
The replacement key carcass arrived on time . It's well made & feels solid ,if your a DIYer it's not so hard to transfer parts from your old key needs some patience the one problem was the castellated parts that the folding key fits into when key is closed needed slightly cutting so that the key closes flat. It's a sort of cog arrangement so I shaved a small amount from side of one of the top cogs to allow the key to align properly when closed. The problem occured because my key was slightly different to the blank supplied.
