An excellent air purifier!
First off, I would like all y'all for returning these units so I could snag one for $124! I have 6 Winix units scattered throughout our home - the oldest being around 10yrs old. Seems like many folks have a few issues with this unit that I would like to address. Being able to read the digital face of the unit - like the other Winix siblings in our home - Winix has sensors "that actually work" and will automatically increase/decrease air volume based upon your homes' air quality. Why override the auto feature? Do you know something the Winix unit doesn't? Anyhow, I have zero issues reading the digital face because I don't! Wifi - for over 30 years, we have had portable air purifiers in our home. We have dogs and cats that do not shed based upon the time of day. I don't our fur crew cares unless it involves treats or walks. Seriously, I suppose the wifi feature is nice but from an air quality perspective, it makes no sense to me. With that being said, this is not a "bedroom unit" like the A230. It doesn't sound like an oscillating fan (quieter) and it doesn't come close to overpowering the television speaker. Once in a while, you hear a "whoosh" when the fan cranks up but it only lasts for a moment (for us). The flip side is that if the unit keeps kicking into high gear, it means that you have filthy air. What is more important...the sound of moving air or removing contaminants? The really nice thing - unlike other MFG's is that Winix doesn't continuously reconfigure the size/shape of the hepa filters. This is why/how I have a 10 year old unit and the filters are readily available. Winix makes great air purifiers. FYI, the filters lasts us for a year - the replacement costs are no big deal. Buy. With. Confidence.

Very effective and quiet
This is one of the best machines of ANY kind, I have ever purchased!!! The 3 digit meter accurately tells you when the dust or anything is in the air and is easy to understand. I tested it by shaking out a blanket near it. The numbers went up to about 100 and as the air cleaned, slowly went back down to 5. That is very clean air.It has 4 speeds and a variable speed motor that is VERY quiet and a pleasant tone when running.Highly recommended.I have owned 5 other air cleaners through the years, and this is WAYYYY above any of them. Thank you to the manufacturer!!!

So Happy With This Air Purifier!
My in-laws gifted me a Winix C545 Air Purifier for our living room and it made a noticeable improvement in the air quality; so when I decided I wanted an air purifier for our bedroom, I knew a Winix air purifier would probably be the way to go, but I wanted to explore all my options. I spent a couple weeks researching air purifiers. I started with some general research about what to look for in a high quality, high performance air purifier; and from there I looked into various brands, models, product specs, customer reviews, etc. Ultimately, I chose the Winix T810. This model filters particles as small as 0.001 microns and not too many air purifiers are able to filter particles that small! It’s easy to clean and works like a dream. I absolutely love this air purifier!

Nice style, Good Airflow, Quiet - A Bit Pricey at 200
Overall, I like the T810's style and find it to be very quite on the lowest 2 speeds and noticeable but unobtrusive on the third. At the highest setting it is louder but not offensively - more like a jet.Setup was simple and ready to go in about five minutes. For the price I expected the T810 to have a bit more refinement and a removable activated carbon pre-filter that is in front of the stock filters "screen" pre-filter.Not sure why Winix doesn't have or offer an activated carbon pre-filter on the outside. This is a miss at the price point, so dinged a star.DIY Activated carbon pre-filter:I purchased Honeywell's Odor and Gas Reducing Type A+ Pre-Filter (HRF-APP1V1) from Home Depot and wrapped it around the Winix filter. You can get two pre-filters out of the HRF-APP1V1 if you cut it into 9-7/8" wide strips, yielding four 9-7/8" x 15.5" strips. I then stapled two together and trimmed a few inches in length so that it wrapped flush around the Winix filter. With this added, I find it clears odors quicker and hope it extends the life of HEPA which are a bit pricey to replace.Refinements:1) Straight outlet plug - I highly prefer flat outlet plugs and think it helps reduce attention to the cord. IMO it makes for a more refined product.2) Surge protection - Since this unit has an electronic interface, it would be nice if it had surge protection to protect the electronics. Had to pick up an outlet extender with surge protection, which adds cost to the purchase.

Good Air purifier
I have chosen and bought this air purified because it is one if the best this price and the exterior is very nice. Total package is ~10.7 kg. Turned on and set-up through the phone - easy. On auto move with 1st speed very quiet and in sleep move even quieter. I bought this purified for my own money and it is good product to have at home especially for kids.
