Rock solid, common sense advice
I've been following John on social media for a few years, and, in a sea of dog trainers, he stands out for his common sense, intelligence, and compassion. His information is sound and science-based, and is delivered in such a way that even the most confused or desperate dog owner can start using it to make positive changes immediately without being overwhelmed. If anybody can help you to a better relationship with your dog in only 15 minutes a day, John is that person. In addition to buying this book, I highly recommend following him on Facebook at Glasgow Dog Trainer and Behaviour Consultant: www.facebook.com/; just about every day he posts another nugget of great advice and even if you already have a perfect dog (because of course I do :), you'll find yourself incorporating that information and appreciating your dog in entirely new and wonderful ways.

Makes good points, and have solutions that are easy to follow for everyone, not just for experienced trainers, love it

Print version underwhelming so far
I’m finding the print version of this book frustrating. First of all, it’s got tiny print. Second, I’m on the 2nd page of the first chapter where there are video links. I typed out one of the Youtube addresses, but no video is found. I go to the youtube channel and can’t find it either. Even so, the book then talks about the video in a very train of thought manner, and I can’t picture what he’s describing. Well, I’m only two pages into this so I’ll edit if the experience improves, but John, if you read this, please create a page on your website where you put the books’ video links in chronological order and give them names so we can use them as part of what we learn from you.

A Must Have for Any Dog Lovers Library
John is a master at breaking things down into easily digestible components so you and your dog can most easily, effectively, and enjoyably learn together. This book is a must have for any dog lovers library. The links to videos in the kindle version are extra helpful as visual aids.

Good guide to dog training.
Very good book - informative. Not as many pages as I expected but gets to the points well. Text is a little small for me as mu eye sight is not so good.Very disappointed with the cost of postage 8.48 when I only pay 3.58 for DVD's which weigh more. Feel like I've been ripped off on the postage to be honest.

A must for a stress free happy pooch (and owner!)
John worked with myself and my dog a while back (we were both in need of training!). Great, surprisingly easy and stress free methodology for both of you. So if you want to make those walks as pleasant and breezy as they're meant to be, or just better understand how to solve behaviour problems, download this book! It doesn't cost much and only takes a surprisingly small amount of effort and time each day. You won't regret it 👌🏻

Good advice; poor presentation
The main problem with this book is that it is actually a transcript of a talk or series of talks. This means that it’s not just conversational in tone, but disjointed and difficult to read. For example:‘You saw there with Milo. Milo, is one of the most-I don't want to say extreme. That is not the right word. It is not kind. The most intense dogs I have had. His behavior has been the worst, if you like. You know what I am thinking of. The most, you know?’The book also has links to YouTube videos which are then discussed. I bought the Kindle version so it was no problem, but I’d have been very frustrated if I’d bought the paperback. The actual content is good, basic positive reinforcement dog training. The topics covered are jumping up, pulling on the lead, aggressive behaviour, nuisance barking and coming when called. If you’re new to dog training I think it could be a big help.

Really helpful, YouTube links are brilliant!
(I bought this on kindle) I'm not far through this yet but I wanted to say a massive thank you for the YouTube links. Having short videos to show us what it is you're talking about is massively helpful! Looking forward to reading through the whole thing and apply my new knowledge to my GSD. Hopefully there's a section on impulse control as this is what my boy (and me!) need to work on most!
