The banana is the fruit of the banana tree, a giant herbaceous plant whose cultivation goes back 5000 years. It is considered in some regions as an exotic fruit or a dessert, and in others as a staple food (cooking banana). For this recipe, we use the Canvedish variety with a little rum to replicatethe exact taste of the banana that you could flambe at home. To be eaten as is or on crepes.
