Brilliant toy for my Montessori boy!
I have numerous sets of Magicubes which both of my children enjoy playing with (ages 4 and 13 now), and which I have gifted to friends with children ages 1 and up. The magnets are strong enough to enable easy building and stacking, but weak enough to avoid any pinching or injury to tiny fingers and toes. The magnets are there to facilitate building, as opposed to actually sticking pieces together into a THING (like lego creations). So children quickly learn that if they try to pick up a large magicube creation, it will likely fall apart. This is a truly innovative toy which encourages imaginative play and a natural grasp of numeracy. When my younger boy was 3, and first started playing with these blocks, he and his 3 year old friend would pass to each other a grid of blocks 3x3 and say “here you go, you can have this 9”. Would highly recommend, but if budget is an issue, perhaps start with a set of just 5 or 6 or these blocks and see how your child gets on with them before buying more. My children love these, but as we all know, all children are different! And what is indispensable to one child may be irrelevant to another.

Swiss Made Theatrical Play *Reimagined*
My kids and I had an enlightening play with this performance set. Very engaging and imaginative. They delighted in displaying their creative talent to me, with voices, accents with ever increasing eccentricity; and with a considerable flair of artistic licence. Their interpretation of course, was reimagined into more of a modern day 'equal opportunities' tale, than the Grimm Brothers' original: It begins with a trio of infamous "Pig Bandits" harassing the "peaceful, vegetarian(!) and eco-conscious" wolf...pushing him to the end of his tether, in the end he feels he must visit the pigs to come to a peaceful resolution; being misunderstood all along. From this point it gets a little more complicated and eventually the wolf marries the she-pig from the trio - in true Shakespearean fashion. But living, of course the inevitable fairytale, "Happily Ever After". Until... Yes. Sadly. I'm in for the second *sequel* tomorrow. Or as they call it: "The Squeal". Cue: eye-roll. The Review Very giftable tin with 8 plastic coated magnetic cubes. The cubes themselves are actually magnetic NOT the play pieces. Which means the pieces cannot be stuck anywhere else sadly. Such as the fridge. The cubes magnetic strength is quite weak in my opinion and the metal/iron filings paint on the reverse of the play pieces tend to not stick so well. The pieces tend to fall off or droop which is quite annoying at times when you're quickly trying to set the next scene. On the plus side, it is well thought out with flooring, backgrounds and a script including in the tin. A wonderful theatrical concept made in Switzerland. If the negative aspect of this set was addressed it would be a truly fantastic set - even for drama clubs at schools. 4 stars.

Nothing Not to Love About This Quality Toy
I love this entire set that comes neatly packaged in a quality colourful tin. I really do love the quality of the tin, so sick of flimsy cardboard packaging that breaks and falls apart within such a short space of time. It would be ideal if there were more magnetic blocks, but all the sets are compatible, so I will look at expanding on this set with more cubes. They easily attach to one another from all sides and each side of the square has a different colour. The set includes a thin booklet that helps little ones create the scene, of course, making up your own story as you go along is even more fun😊 There are 3 magnetic board that pop out the individual magnetic pictures that are well designed and easy to pop out without damaging the pictures. 3 background scenes that hold the magnets well. Overall a great toy to encourage a world using imagination and stimulation and a rather unique "old school" toy brought to life!

Creative fun!
This item arrived safe and well packaged. A delightful little set. The little magnetic cubes combine with the scenery and characters to allow you to create a lovely little performance. Plenty of room for imagination and creative play. I highly recommend this product.

A real quality toy
This is something a bit different from the norm, and a great way to encourage a child's imagination. They get to set the scenes how they want to, with an accompanying storyline book that shows the various acts / scenes of the traditional fable of The three little pigs. All the parts are very well made, the tin forming the theatre, with scene backdrops, magnetic blocks, with magnetic scene accessories. One really nice thing is that everything packs away back into the strong tin, so far less chance of bits getting lost. This is quite expensive, but the whole thing really is good, and much better quality than a lot of the cheap stuff out there, and something that bit different that little ones will, I'm sure, love - this is for my 3 yr old granddaughter!

Nice product BUT
Excellent product and as described by seller, but this was bought as a present and arrived in a damaged box with the delivery labels stuck all over it so I was unable to give it.

Magnetic blocks that always stick
This is a metal box containing a few sheets of magnetic stickers and a stage floor for imaginary play playing about with a play, if you see what i mean. It also comes with several brightly coloured blocks that stick to each other which was the main draw of this toy for my grandson. There must be loose magnets inside the blocks because no matter what side you attach it sticks, there is no repelling side. This makes it a lot of fun and very easy for a small toddler to build quite a high tower of them before knocking them down as kids love to do.
