High Quality & Made in USA
This is an excellent tool! It’s made in USA and it costs less than a quality tool from china. It comes in a nice blow molded case that organizes everything nicely. I had to give it 5 stars because I have absolutely nothing negative to say about it. It works great! My only suggestion, other than just buy this, is look at the 971 kit first. It has a few more pieces that might possibly be needed by some people.

Good thread chasing kit
I didn't feel like spending exorbitant tool truck prices for something that's literally the same tool kit. Save your money and get the Lang Tools kit. It's plenty good, and have more than paid for themselves under my ownership. If you're looking for a quality, made-in-USA kit of thread chasers, look no further.

Nice kit - very useful
This is a nice kit of frequently used sizes. It has served me well when I needed to clean up corroded threads on my car.

thread restorer
Well you can buy a kit like this from lang and have a nice kit and I think they make another one that has a few more parts..... which I would also recommend. You could buy the exact same thing on one of the tool truck for more $$. This set is nice and works well, I've been using it often on an older trail truck I have and its saved the day a few times. Well worth the price....I would add this and its "sister" kit to your overall collection, barbecue its just a matter of time.

You need this, its different than a tap & die
This is a very high quality thread chasing/restoring kit. It stands out for its remarkable ability to revive the threads of nuts and bolts, making them as good as new. Its thoughtful design and selection of tools, such as thread files and thread chasers, ensure that it delicately cleans and restores existing threads without altering their original dimensions. What sets this kit apart is its emphasis on the correct tool for the job; it drives home the point that using a tap and die set on existing threads is a recipe for disaster. Tap and dies are meant for creating new threads or tackling severe damage by removing material, and misusing them on existing threads risks misalignment and further damage. In summary, this thread restorer kit is a true gem for anyone who values precision and knows the value of maintaining the integrity of their fasteners, making it a must-have for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike.

Helps clean nasty bolt holes
I needed this to clean out some nasty bolt holes in my 79 K10. Went very slowly while using cutting oil. Worked like a champ. Since my truck is 45 years old, I’m confident I’ll be using these in the future. Seems to be of very good quality.

A good bit of kit at a great price
I think it's a well known fact by now that Kastar/Lang makes these for Snap On, which means you're getting tool truck quality without paying tool truck price. That doesn't happen very often, so it's something I appreciate all the more when it does.I've now used these on a valve job, a few manifolds, and countless misc. tasks and I have no complaints regarding their performance. The markings on the files could be easier to read, since I have to currently shine a light just right to be able to see what size I'm using, but that's a very minor complaint, and not a big enough deal to deduct a star. Overall, I'm very satisfied with these.

Excellent tool at a great savings - same thing as the big names!
Absolutely saved me when I had some bad threads on my motorcycle gas tank. I did plenty of research and learned that some of the boutique companies sell this exact model and just swap out for a red or blue box (I bet you can guess who). I don't mind that my tools come from a brown truck instead of something with a wrench printed on the side!As a tip, when using this tool you will want to utilize a cutting oil. Instead of buying something expensive, you can use pig fat. It's what they used to use back in the early days, but have since moved to synthetic oils that have a longer shelf life and the shop doesn't have to worry about their barrels going rancid. If you are the average Joe/Jane, however, this is still the perfect solution. Enjoy some tasty bacon and collect the excess grease into a cup. Go out to the shop with your bacon grease, get your work done, and toss what you don't need. Take comfort in knowing you saved some money and had a reasonable excuse to eat bacon.
