Corrupt

Staat nog op mijn TBR, maar het boek kwam netjes en zonder beschadigingen toe. Mooie cover en goede kwaliteit van papier en kaft. Ziet er goed uit naast de rest van de reeks.

I was really excited to get Corrupt by Penelope Douglas, but the top front corner arrived bent, and the design is peeling off. If I try to fix it, the whole cover film might tear. It’s disappointing because the rest of the book looks great, but the damage definitely brings the rating down.

If there was an option to give 6 stars only to ONE book I would choose this one. it deals with a lot of heavy topics and its not for the weak... this book healed me in so many ways. and like Penelope says in the beginning of the book, she wrote this so we could experience danger without having to look for it, and read about it in the confort of our homes. This book made my heart beat, made me feel alive, and it avoided for me to go seek this kind of danger and get myself into trouble. I love her writing style, that keeps you forever engaged, her sex scenes are perfect and realistic ( okay in some parts she lets go of a bit but it for sure made me feel butterflies and HAD ME BY THE EDGE OF MY SEAT) this book also showed me a different perspective with Rika, to be in the game you need to play it, to be bold, not to run away and from Michael TO OWN ME, no matter what I like or do to OWN myself and to choose me first. Penelope thank you really.

DID I FINISHED THE BOOK.. OR DID THE BOOK FINISHED ME????? What a start to this series. Rika, Rika, Rika.. what a badass girl u are. The push and pull connection between Michael and Rika had me screaming sometimes fr, but the pull moments made me swoon so freaking much 😮‍💨🤭😏😳🥵
