Cool, Interactive Book
Such a fun book! Sturdy and interactive. I got it as a gift for my nephew's second birthday. More intricate than a typical board book or pop-up book made for very young children. Even older kids can enjoy the cool pop-ups.

My go-to baby gift
This book is so much fun. Babies love the moving parts, toddlers have fun learning to manipulate the tabs, and early elementary kids get to read the text. It sort of grows with them. Delightful!

Fun and interactive! Supervise those younger than 2.5 years old to prevent pieces from breaking!
This will grab the attention of children from about 6 months old through 5 or 6 years old, and even older! It's fun and interactive and has fun rhyming and activities throughout. And there are interesting animals that they can learn the names of and see inside this book. Little toddlers and babies (those under 2.5 years old) have a tendency to break pieces (certain tails that wiggle back and forth using a piece that pulls out from the side of the book, on 2 separate pages). So, I highly recommend fully surpervising anyone under 2.5 years old. Our 1 year old broke pieces, we tried to repair them as best we could. Then she broke them again, a few months later, because we briefly stepped away while she was looking at it. We bought another copy of the book, but now we only let het look at it while she is on our laps, and we keep it out of reach when we aren't reading it with her. This has prevented her from breaking the tails that wiggle back and forth. I have a niece who is 2.5 years old and she seems able to play with it without breaking anything, according to my sister. I hope this helps! This is an awesome book to have, and is very entertaining to toddlers - a worthy purchase for sure!

Fun book
I purchased it years ago for a friend whose kids love it. So I bought it for mine and she likes it as well. Cute book with a few interactive elements and fun graphics.

Active Books for Active Toddlers
This is a great book for active toddlers. Lots of fun tabs to pull, and textures to feel in this book. This book promotes sensory tactile learning and small motor skills.

One year old birthday gift
I love Tails! It has been my "go to" first birthday gift for several years. The rhyme, texture, and moveable parts makes this book a toddlers favorite.

Delightful and colorful interactive board book
The media could not be loaded. All the books from Matthew Van Fleet that we have purchased have been pure delight. We have the three mini-board books (Munch, Sniff, and Lick) and "Heads". My son loves this book. Even though its a little heavy for my 18 month old, but he manages to carry it above his head while coming to me with this book.We purchased the board book format of the book and it has following features1. Fabric with thick fiber/fur2. Pull out tabs that make the tails move3. Pull out tabs with words written on them4. Fold out pages5. Textured materialThe book depicts the tails of different animals with different kind of materials e.g. tail of tiger has a fur fabric, tail of crocodile has a textured material. One each page there is a sentence which rhymes with the one on next. There are pull-out tabs which have written words on them. There are also fold-out pages There are some pull out tabs which make the tails of animals move. This is the most interesting part of the book.My son loves this book and even the kids that have visited us for play-dates love this as well. This book has several touch elements that keep the kids intrigued (for probably a minute or so, which is probably a life-time in infant's time units.) My son has finally figured out how to operate the pull tab and it delightful watching him play with that. All in all this book is good but I found the mini-board books by Matthew Van Fleet (Munch, Sniff, and Lick) to be much better than this one. I found the rhyming sentences to be more rhythmic (for the lack of better word) in the mini-board books. One big issue I have with the book is than this book is immensely tear-able (even though being a board-book.) My son and all the other kids who have played with the books want to tear up the moving parts as soon as they see them. On the book "heads" by the same author, there are few pages with moving parts that are protected by a thin plastic sheet. I felt this book needs similar kind of protection. Though it might add to the cost of the book but I think it will make the book more durable. Also, even after using the book for weeks, the pull out tabs don't come out that smoothly. They get stuck sometimes. The mini-board books do not have such pull out tabs (they have fabric and moving parts only)I felt that if I have to gift a book for kids upto 1-2 years I will prefer the mini-board books Munch, Sniff, or Lick over this book, even though the mini-board books can also be tared and this book is also fun, but overall I liked the mini board books better.
