Protection Magick, (Arch)Angels and Enochian Magick
Very structured book full of valuable information. However, in my version of the book, I missed the index/table of contents.Magickal Protection:I enjoy reading about protection. Mari Silva gives a great overview of , for example, different types or categories of protection magick, examples of spiritual helpers and (arch)angels, useful magickal tools, examples to meditation and rituals.Unfortunately, only for example the magickal tools were not only describes verbally but also shown in a picture. I wished to have more things not only described but also shown on pictures as well. I missed that Mari Silva explained later in the book and not in the beginning that the mantras were im Hebrew.Guide to Enochian Magick:Mari Silva gives a great background of Enochian Magick, its history, John Dee and Edward Kelly, Kabbalah and so forth.I missed examples of practical magick, the Enochian Magick itself, in its original language and translation in English, as well as pictures with explanation of the enochiam symbols.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A Great Read
A Great ReadPart 1: Book - Protection MAGICKMari Silva informs readers on the history of protection magick, stating that protection magick is one of the oldest forms of magick, dating to the beginning of humanity, and that all cultures have had some form of protection rituals and charms, some of which are still part of our everyday life. She discusses several types of protection magick and I loved the simple meditation Technique she provides. Additionally, she provides a list of tools that's an idea of what most practitioners might have in their arsenal of magick. The spells provided are a great benefit. Mari discusses grimoires, especially, that of King Solomon and she provides the following examples of what you could include:1. Phases of the moon and how they affect your spells2. Cleansing spells3. Incantations and their power4. Herbs and how to use them5. Crystals and their power6. Attraction spells7. How to use tarot cards in magick8. How to invoke elementals9. Potions for love, wealth, and banishing10. Laws of your tradition11. Gods and Goddesses12. How to prepare magick tools13. The dedication used by your coven14. The Wheel of the Year and what it means to the spells you cast15. Sacred texts and alphabetsThe author states that the list is endless, and we can make your book as diverse as you like, and by using a three-ring binder readers can create sections and move their information around to different sections.I really enjoyed reading Part 1 of this book, and the section on angelic protection stood out the most for me.PART 2: Book - Enochian MagicMari Silva provides background information on Enochian Magic and defines it as magic that involves summoning spirits and sending them out to do your will, which was founded on the teachings of John Dee and Sir Edward Kelley. She states that John Dee was an Anglo-Welsh astronomer, mathematician, alchemist, teacher, astrologer, and occultist, and Edward Kelley also known as Edward Kelly or Edward Talbot, was an English occultist and spirit medium from the Renaissance period who could summon spirits using a mirror or shew stone (a stone gazed into to see or predict the future).I found this book to be very interesting. Mari Silva discusses Enochian Magic in great detail describing how and why it came about and how John Dee used his power to aid Queen Elizabeth I. What I found quite interesting is the fact that the Book of Enoch, which is said to mean the first book, 1 Enoch, because there's a second and a third Enoch as well. For the discussion in Mari Silva's book, she focus on the first one, which she briefly discuss the five main sections and the two appendices as listed below:1. Book of the Watchers (Chapters 1 to 36)2. Book of Parables (Chapters 37 to 71)3. Book of the Luminaries (Chapters 72 to 82)4. The Dream Visions (Chapters 83 to 90)5. The Epistle of Enoch (Chapters 91 to 105)The two appendices are:1. The Birth of Noah (Chapters 106 to 107)2. The Final Book of Enoch (Chapter 108)Additionally, the author provides the Alphabet of Angels. These two book contain a wealth of information and I highly recommend for anyone's reference library, who are studying and/or practicing magic/magick.

Good & Refreshing Read
Great book for beginners and refreshing for anyone who puts magic to practical use. It's full of information and guide that will cater to the knowledge thirsty individual that is interested in magical protection for psychic self-defence. Part 1 content deals essentially with basic how-to protect yourself against psychic attack, staying safe in the astral plane and some angelic protection magic. The book is essentially geared towards those interested in low magic type practices with some ceremonial magic type exercises included. Part 2 content deals essentially with basic introduction to Enochian magic.Overall, Mari Silva writing style as presented in this book, is easy to read, nothing weird about the simple protection exercises. Though, some of the exercises would be lot easier for beginners to understand if illustrative diagram were included with some of the rituals.
