Water Resistant Pinpointer Metal Detector, Gifts for Men Treasure Hunting Tool Buzzer Vibrate, Portable PinPointer with LED Indicators with Holster

I have a GP Pinpointer that I have been using and wanted to try this unit out to see if there was an improvement over the mentioned unit. I will say that this Tryfun pinpointer is more sensitive to metal, and I do like the blinking LED's that increase when you are closing in on your target.The one thing I was having difficulties with was that this pinpointer seems to pick up false signals the deeper you do into the ground. This may be due to the rich soil that I have been digging in at my property though. I'm pretty sure that the soil I'm digging in is rich in minerals that is producing the false signals, so I plan to use it more when I hunt on other properties.That being said, I do believe that this unit is a little more sensitive to the GP models. I plan to update this review with some pictures from the field and working with different soil. In all, a few solid unit with decent features and sensitivity. More to come!::UPDATE:: 5/10/18This pinpointer is pretty dependent on good batteries. The newer the battery, the stronger the signal. I also think there may be a very small constant battery drain while the unit is turned off (happens to a lot of things that use batteries and people don't realize) I get about three or so hours on a quality 9v battery when detecting (total on time) before the little LED starts to blink indicating the battery is getting low. Once that starts to happen, the pinpointers performance is literally cut in half. SO, keep a few space quality 9v batteries on hand and you will be in good shape. Also, when not in use, take the battery out for storage, it will help out on the life of the 9v.All that being said, with a fresh battery, this pinpointer works very well. It still crushes it's cheaper cousin, the GP Pointer in every way. Worth the price tag if you are looking for something good and not wanting to fork out over $100 or something else.

This detector has a good appearance and great sensitivity. This is a light only (no sound) detector so there is a green light that turns red once metal is detected and it vibrates. There is another button that turns on a light for use in dark areas or for people who use them at night. Make sure not to submerge under water be cause this is water resistant not waterproof so it waterproof to the light not the entire unit. You can get around 2-3" detection on a coin with this unit.

Great product for the money, comparable to the Garrett pro pointer as far as sensitivity goes,picks up great! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it gets erratic sometimes (often) and you have to shut it off and turn it back on,which isn't a big deal since it cost $90 less then the Garrett. Recommend it and would buy again.

Pretty impressed with this actually. I bought it for my buddy because I'm cheap and wasn't about to spend 130 on the Garrett Pro-Pointer for him. He friggen loves it. Works great, battery life is great. Picture shows it come with a holder...it does not. We had to make one but whatevs.

What a great tool. Detects all types of metal from several inches away. Beeps get faster and more lights flash as the tip gets closer to metal. Looks very solid and well made. Seems to be pretty weatherproof. Great with a rechargeable lithium 9V battery. A quick press turns it on. Depress the on/off button a little longer to turn it off. Also included is a nice holster and impressively decent instructions. Two thumbs up.

This pinpointer worked pretty good, not great had to turn it on and off several times to "reset" it. When it starts to beep it doesnt want to stop. This only happened a few times. I got it wet and POW! Never worked again. It was worth the price for what it did. I also have the Whites TRX. I loved having this one as a back up or a loaner.

For the price this pinpointer is just great. I'm using it with my Garrett ace 300 and it's saving me lots of time. I've read somebody saying that it interferes with the metal detector. I have changed the frequency on my garrett to F2 and it is much better. Just keep the metal detector a few feet from it. If you have a metal detector without the option of changing frequency just turn it off while using the pinpointer. Again this pinpointer is amazing.

I am impressed with the range on this. Ground still frozen so haven't used in the dirt yet but comparing to the other pinpointer I have it 's range is even better.

Excellent accuracy when used.in combination with my metal detector. Big time.saver comes with a nice.belt hook and.holser pleasantly.surprised.at quality. Would recoomwnd

Honestly don't think you can beat the price. Functions very well. It's helped me pin point quite a bit of stuff while metal detecting.

Worked well for 1st few months but now beeps randomly or not at all.. and also stopped vibrating.
