Dehumidifier Rod/High Power (18in)

I finally got tired of constantly recharging silica packs in my gun safes. This rod solved the problem instantly. I was a little worried at first because my safe is waterproof and bolted down, but the cord fits right through the door without any damage or gaps. Be sure to read the product description—these rods cover more area than you’d expect. I’m using the small size in a tall safe and it works perfectly. The built-in “feet” keep the rod from touching the walls or door, which is smart since it does get warm. The slim design feels sturdy and well-made, and it’s been a huge improvement over the old recharge-the-packs routine. Highly recommend.

Good build quality and fit my needs perfect. It a second heater to be added into a 80 gun safe. At 68 degrees in house interior of safe is 90 with 0 humidity level, measurements provided by gun safe temp sensors. Functions perfectly and hopefully energy efficient

Works as expected. I’m not sure if the screws are just cheap, but I had to add Velcro these in to make sure these stayed on the safe wall

I had tired using rechargeable silica canisters over the years for my gun cabinets but we live in a humid area and they simply did not last long. I finally bought two of these rod type dehumidifier's and now realize that I should have gone this route years ago. These are far superior as they raise the ambient temperature in the cabinets just enough to keep the moisture out. You don't have to check and re-oil your firearms as frequently as this rod is always working. You do need an outlet close by but that is easy enough to install one if you need one closer to your cabinets. These rods are lightweight but seem quality built and even have the mounting hardware included. They are a great value for protection of your valuables.
