Super helpful!
I studied ceramics in college and I’ve admittedly, lost a fair enough number of pieces to seek a solution to my problem. Bring on museum wax! Since I have purchased this, I have used it to stick down my more unstable Funko Pop toys, fasten some plastic containers onto a shelf close to my armrest, and even hold some spacers against my wall so my TV can have a beautiful backlight! And that’s not even counting the reason I bought it, holding pottery in place. And now, about the product. When you buy it, it is thick like wax, almost like you’d never believe it will be soft. Using the diamond shaped scoop though, you quickly realize that it is quite pliable, with a bit of a sticky feeling against the hand. Once you apply it, depending on how much clearance there is, you will enjoy varying results—more contact with the base of the object will mean the item is more likely to stay put. So if you have a favorite piece of pottery you’d like to display, make sure to apply the wax to the foot of your piece rather than the center of the piece, as it will certainly not make it cat/bump proof, but simply make it slide resistant. Color-wise, it is semitransparent, but not really as clear as perhaps a superglue. That said, the removable quality makes the compromise worth…besides, it will generally be on the piece of your object that will not be seen. I haven’t had to remove it from the places I’ve used it, but I can already tell I feel comfortable with removing it from the objects I have placed it on and for the most part, the surfaces I am sticking it to are going to be able to handle removal effortlessly, unlike other simple application options like hot glue, which would certainly end up taking off parts of the wood shelving I set it on. And for what you truly end up using, short of a gallery setting, antique shop, or hoarder home, you’re going to have this stuff for the rest of your life—great value for money!

Holds Heavy Vase in place
really holds heavy vase. I haven't tried to remove it to see if it leaves any residue but I can vouch for the fact that it holds vase even when table is moved or cat jumps up on it which is why I got it.

Benefits & drawbacks of wax
Living in earthquake country, securing anything hanging is a priority, so I have extensively used wax, putty, and gel throughout my home. How things are used determines the product. I prefer using wax for securing pictures (after they have been properly hung). Wax is soft and easy to work with, and it is easy to “softly” reposition pictures on small balls of wax until they are just right. Then a nice, firm push on all four corners at the same time, and the picture is held securely in place. No more crooked pictures, and no broken glass on the floor when someone accidentally brushes next to a picture. The photos and plaster items on the pictured wall continuously get knocked into and messed with by small children. Nothing has moved yet.I prefer their “solid” style wax when compared to their wax that already comes in balls. It’s a small hassle to have to dig out the wax, but different weights and sizes of pictures demand different sizes of wax, so the solid allows for any and all sizes and configurations.Wax is great for hanging up temporary posters too. It won’t pull paint off walls or damage surfaces such as wood, and it’s easy to place and remove the posters without damaging them.Wax definitely has its drawbacks. It gets dirty by holding on to dust, and it’s hard to clean, so if it’s used in a place where it can be seen, it needs to be replaced from time to time. It can also be a major pain to clean up some surfaces such as stucco. But wax is also semi-transparent, so it becomes a tossup at times whether to use wax or putty. I prefer this particular brand of wax because of its qualities. It’s soft and pliable when you work with it, but it hardens up afterward making it a little easier to keep it clean longer. While this is advertised as “quake” hold, this stuff is invaluable to anyone who’s experienced the benefits of continuously straight, undamaged pictures, even with small children running rambunctiously through the house! I also use it to secure some items to my mantle.

.
It works amazing!! Just used it for my little flower vase. Put three little pieces on the bottom of vase, and it doesn't move at all. Just like concrete!!!! Love it!!! My cat cannot beat up the vase any more!! Haha

It's a toss up rather it's good or not, I guess it all depends upon the application ur using it for
I wasn’t really sure how to rate this, so I gave it a three—right in the middle. It works to some extent, but I think it needs to be a bit stickier or firmer because the item still moves around too easily. Also, don’t use it on paper or walls. In my experience, it left a greasy residue, which was disappointing since I wanted to hang something up. Maybe it’s not meant for those surfaces, but I didn’t see that clearly stated.

Prevents Cats Knocking Items Off Shelves, Ledges, Etc.
I ordered this to secure a candle that replaced a candle my cat knocked off of a high ledge in my bathroom. I was concerned that the wax adhesive might damage the paint on the ledge, but it doesn’t. It works great because it has enough adhesion to hold the candle in place, but I can easily twist the candle to release the adhesion with absolutely no damage. This tub is a good value for the money. It came with enough product that I can secure multiple items around the house. As a longtime cat owner, I wish I’d had known about museum wax years ago.

Super strong! Love this stuff!!
Just got kittens so before bringing them home of course we had to kitty proof the house. I was worried about lamps and stuff being knocked over hurting them so I found this museum wax...if it works in a museum it would have to be pretty strong, and believe me it is. My lamps and plants arent going anywhere unless we move them. Its super easy to use. Its durable and very strong. And it doesnt leave marks when you remove it and its even reusable. Awesome product! I am reassured my kittens wont be hurt by falling objects. Totally recommend if you too are looking for a safe way to keep your items in place and adhered very secure. ☺️
