Gift
We ended up buying this to try and gift for a white elephant Christmas party. We were expecting to attend. However, my friend got sick and we had to cancel and ended up keeping this gift. It’s really cool lights up really well. Very good quality.

Very cute, cool astro-projection, too bright LEDs
This projection light is rechargeable, which is a good thing. It lasts for a few hours depending on the settings.Other than that, a USB charging cable is included, and two disks with additional stellar projections, as well as a well-written manual. The operation is fairly simple: on/off button, and one light mode switch button with 4 positions. One button click turns on the rotating and color-changing LEDs, which fill a very large area of the ceiling. These LEDs change color within about 1 second, and there is a small disc with plastic prisms that rotates (audibly) over a few of the inner LEDs to generate a disappointingly smaller area of 'changing/wandering' lights. This was not too impressive: about 70-80% of the illuminate ceiling does not change, and only the center area has some moving lights with rather repetitive changes. Nothing very magical and smooth. The speed of light color changes should be slower, since 1 second feels hectic and is not soothing or gives time to look around. The changing patterns are also not soothing, but move too fast and mechanic. The video/photos gave the impression that the entire illuminated area is in constant change, but that's not the case. On second view, this was not really mentioned and the video was shot cleverly.A 2nd click turns on the stellar projection light, which has three beautiful interchangeable images of part of the earth with a stellar nebula or other impressively looking objects. The projection arm with the light can be switched upwards in some angle. The projection itself is not very large and doesn't fill a ceiling or wall unlike the colorful LED projections or there is a lot of space between the target wall and the astronaut.Sadly, when both LEDs and projetion lights are on, the projected stellar objects are almost impossible to detect since the LEDs are simply too bright. This was the biggest disappointment. There is a Before/After image that shows a balanced image between LEDs and projection, but this is not the case.A third click turns of the rotating LEDs and the projection only is visible. This one is not only nice looking, but it also would be the most suitable as a 'nightlight'.A fourth click turns of all lights except for the yellow glowing moon in the lap of the astronaut - the bona fide night light. It is a bit bright if the astronaut is placed near a bed.All in all, a nice gizmo to entertain for a bit. It is not a great night light except for the projection. The LEDs get boring quickly and are not soothing. While the astronaut is cute, it feels overpriced for what it is. It also feels slightly misrepresented in the images, which is to me alway an unnecessary disappointment and could be a reason for a return.

Super cute & Quick set up.
The media could not be loaded. This product is super cute. My kids have been into LED lights that stick onto the walls, and it never stays. This product right here, is so cute and awesome. It lights up our entire room - my daughter who this was a gift for - is in the master bedroom so it’s pretty big. Easily plug into a USB port and enjoy the different colors. Perfect for a nightlight also! My other two sons now want the exact one!!!

Only good for a rave
Cute design, moon is cute and the sky projection is cool BUT the 9 light modes just flick aggressively over and over every few seconds (without control) and is rather uncomfortable to be in. A rave - maybe. A romantic date - definitely not. Debating returning.

Great to help kids sleep
Our son was turning on his bathroom light every night to help him sleep. Once we got this, that stopped. It is bright and has a cool effect while still being dim enough to allow him to sleep.

Some pros, some cons.
So lets start off on a positive note with the pro's. There are different modes to this thing and 2 of the 3 modes are adorable. Modes that are cute include just having the little moon he is holding light up as a nightlight, and the 3 starry projections are very cute as well and you can switch between them using these little screens that you slide nice and easy into the projector on the side of his helmet. You can also rotate his head to aim at whatever you are trying to light up.Now for the cons. The biggest one is mode number 3, the 9 colorful lighting option. I do say option singularly because you cannot just pick one of those color options but rather the only option is to have the colors rotate and loop. This is very reminiscent of a rave of some sort and isn't the relaxing ambiance that I was hoping for. This is unfortunate because it is clearly meant to be the star of the show (pun fully intended) but it is basically unusable unless the rave vibe is what your going for. It also drowns out the projection of the starry sky, which brings us to our next con. The starry sky is just coming from a small projector that comes out of the side of his helmet so is isn't super large and wont fill up the whole room unless maybe it's a closet which is sad and I wish it was a larger projection to fill the ceiling of at least a normal sized room. The last con is only a small one and maybe not even a con for some but the charging imput is a mini usb which I thought was phased out eons ago. Would have much rather seen a usb-c, but that is a very minor gripe.Overall he is cute and I really do love him with his little lit up moon but the color changing light show leaves much to be desired.
