This edge control is amazing! It has a super strong hold that keeps my edges sleek and smooth all day without flaking or turning white. It works well in both humid and dry weather, and a little goes a long way. The texture is smooth, not sticky, and it lays my hair perfectly without feeling heavy. Definitely my new go-to for flawless edges!

I’ve tried a lot of edge controls over the years, and Bask & Lather Strong Hold Edge Control is definitely one of my favorites! It lays my edges down smoothly and keeps them in place all day without any flaking or buildup. The texture is thick but not greasy, and a little goes a long way. I also love that it doesn’t leave my hair feeling hard, crunchy or dry – it holds firm while still looking natural. Plus, it smells amazing and feels nourishing it works well on my natural hair texture, even in humidity.

I only tested this out on a small patch of hair first to see if it had a good hold. A little definitely goes a long way. I think once you let it dry a bit, it has really good hold. I feel like you get a good amount for the price.I have curly hair and my sideburns can get a little wild. It really laid them down. My patch test did last quite a while, almost a full day if I hadn’t messed with it. But I do think it needs to dry a little after application to last all day.It’s a bigger container than I thought and there was a good amount of product in there. I think it will last a while. It’s not greasy to me. Again, a little goes a long way. Best to apply to clean hair for best results. If you put this on top of a bunch of other products already in your hair, it most likely will flake.I will give it more time it’s only been a day. But definitely try it for yourself.

Overall it’s a solid edge control. I do feel like the product might be overhyped. For the price I would want this stuff to last rain, sleet or snow but it doesn’t. That being said as a locd natural it holds my edges well enough and it doesn’t seem to leave white residue once it dries up. It’s worth a try.

This gel does an absolutely amazing job. I read the reviews and I keep seeing "when it dried". I didn't read the instructions and just very meticulously put it with evolve edge comb/brush, then tied it for a few minutes with a scarf. It is perfect. No flakes, no nothing. I'm glad I didn't read the instructions. UPDATE: It will be perfect for 48 hours (even sweat), then will just vanish without a trace. Your regular edges will be back with no evidence. I suspect people having issues are because of their hair or how they use the product. Just put it on with edge comb/brush combo, scarf for 5 minutes, forget and be slayed for 48 hours. That's its. Perfect product.

Looks great, easy to apply, cost efficient, good on my edges. The scent is soft and not strong. I washed it out my hair after a couple of days. I never used heat on my hair, so not sure how it will apply on hair being heated. I did heat this up a bit before applying on my hair, to thin it out a bit.

This product kept being suggested by social media and I ordered it on a Prime day. IMO it performs like a typical edge control. I have had to apply it daily. The claim that it is reactivate by water has not been proven by my use. Tying down edges helps keep it in place but the effectiveness is not all day. I walk 1.5 miles during my lunch and my hair is frizzy and not slick by mid walk. There are others that have worked better for me. I’m glad I got it at a discount. 1 plus is a little does go a long way and applying to damp hair gives a ripple / wavy look (depending on hair type). Maybe it would perform best on dry hair. It gives a bit “greasy” and leaves hair sticky. No flaking experienced in my use. Note: I have about 4-5 different hair textures on my 1 head with fine, spring curls type around the perimeter getting courser and thicker towards the middle.

I ordered based on the TikTok reviews. I used it on my semi-clean edges (fully expecting it to wear off since my edges weren't freshly washed) and I was pleasantly surprised that they laid my edges down and they stayed down that entire day. My hair type somewhere between 4B/4C. To me, the product is a little sticky upon application, but not after it dries down. I really like this product and would recommend for similar hair types. This is not a paid review, but I wish it was lol.
