I ordered this bookshelf for my apartment - I was excited about it, but I am extremely disappointed in the product.The screws for the X-shaped support bars are too small to provide any support whatsoever - they fall out as soon as you attempt to screw them in.The screw holes for the shelves themselves are too small for the screwdriver provided to handle - one would need a power drill. I don't have one, and don't intend on purchasing one to assemble this terrible bookshelf. Overall, extremely angry with the company and disappointed in this product.CAVEAT EMPTOR - BUYER BEWARE.Do yourself a favor and buy anything except this.

I love this bookcase. It's attractive and sturdy. It was easy to assemble in the sense that there was a an online video as well as written instructions, and it was easy to see how it goes together...however, the last couple of shelves were a little difficult to get the holes lined up to screw it down. The manual driver would never have done the job. Even with the screw gun (and a retired contractor partner), it was a challenge. If we had a little more muscle, we could have done it perfectly. As it was, we left out a couple of screws on the last 2 shelves...even still, it was a quick assembly. It took about 30 minutes even with our issue. The end result was a great looking piece of furniture that absolutely met my expectations!

I really like the finished look of this bookshelf. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the predrilled holes did not match up to the screw holes on the shelf. We ended up making our own holes. Also, several of the boards were damaged on the side. We just put them facing the back. That being said, I love the finished product. It looks good, and is sturdy. For the price, it's great!

We didn't like it at all.The instruction were poor. The pre holes on the shelves didn't match. The screws were to little to go into the hole. It took my husband a whole day to put these screws in the holes. If we can get the bookcase back to them we would.

The unit it self was nice. The screws did not go in smoothly and some not completely drilled in. One shelf had a chip on each side of the shelf, so i was unable to hide this by placing the chip side towards the back. The instructions were terrible but after some time, was able to figure out how the support brackets fit. I like the unit and will keep it but i am a bit disappointed. This is in a large hallway area, so not the focus of anything important. I could deal with difficulty of putting it together, but the chip bugs me. I always take extra care when unboxing everything so i won't have any scratches and it was boxes pretty well, so it must have been chipped prior to it getting boxed up in the packaging.

This bookshelf is nicely sturdy and all the components arrived in excellent condition. BUT if you buy this, if you value your hands and your marriage you will pre-drill the suggestion of a hole before you try to drive the screws into place. There's no way those screws will go into the mdf without stripping them, if they would go in at all. And make sure you do the large shelf first; it's the one that goes on top. There's a reason it's packaged separately. It goes on top.

Looks great! A little hard to put together though. The measurements were a little uneven and the directions were very vague. Luckily I had a very handy friend to help me out!

Nearly every single wood shelf is dented it scuffed. Box arrived in poor shape but packaging wasn't sufficient. Directions are lacking - they need more detail and clarity. The screws are poor quality and strip easily with that crummy tiny screwdriver. This is NOT a quick and easy assbly process. Dissapointed.
