sturdy and does the job
I simultaneously cooked five packages of spaghetti in this, no problem. worked like a charm, a real restaurant quality piece of cookware for a good price.

Great pot
I used this pot to make split pea soup with the leftover Christmas ham bone. Everything fit with room left over, and the soup was delicious. These pots take a while to heat up, but the results are worth waiting for. Retains heat well. Love it!

It is sufficient
The pot has some spots that resemble weld spots in the bottom, and has small barb like edges on the inside walls. It has a tendency to scorch at the spots. We've cooked chickens twice and lobsters once.

Arrived dented, but I still like it
Already used a lot for general cooking. Works great. I plan to use it for cheese making as well. Good.

Not at all impressed...
The insert for this only goes down about half-way, which means you have to put an insane amount of water in the pot in order to use it -- meaning, of course, that it takes a very long time to start boiling.Added 7/21/2010: After numerous comments to my post, let me clarify. I purchased this with the intent of using it to cook pasta -- not to steam. The basket only goes down about half-way, which make this a GREAT steamer -- but a HORRIBLE pasta cooker (which, according to the title, this pot is also useful for). Had they included two baskets (one half-size and one full-size) it would have been a much more useful product. Judging by the photo, the basket is full-size -- upon receipt however, it was not. Hope this clears up my earlier review.
