High quality box! I love the Quiet Drift feature
I am such a fan, I expected a cheap Chinese product but the box and product is like apple or something really high quality with a lot of thought put into it. Setup seemed daunting but then was easy after watching a video. I didn’t use any of the clips or anything, not even magnets for my setup. And it works great. But probably need them for other curtain style. I absolutely love the quiet drift feature. So cool! Literally silent and feels really classy when it opens slowly. I use it to open my blackout curtains every morning in a schedule

SwitchBot Curtains Robots with the SwitchBot 3 Hub.
First things first. In preparation to install these motors you MUST have straight rods and properly anchored them to wall studs or beam with strong brackets. Recommend copper tubing (light weight or galvanized pipes heavier. Paint galvanized pipes to your favorite color . it works best with 3/4 inch pipes up to 10 ft length (Cut to fit your space and or add connections as needed to extend ). Best for floor to ceiling window treatments. Secondly. GET The SwitchBot HUB 3. It make everything works seamless especially if your are adding more than one window treatment. Now Let’s talk about looks. The robots looks great Motors Powerful motors Ease of installation- Easy. Just pull down the ends and snap in the motor) on the rod behind your curtain. No need to use the magnet. I found it works just as great without the magnet and looks aesthetically pleasantly without them. Easy of set up. Simple. Follow the instructions and pair. Ease of use in the SwitchBot App easy. You can sit and enjoy controlling them. Set timer. I open mine at 6:30 am with the pleasant default drift mode and also close them at 8:30 pm with default drift mode. Battery Life excellent. Even better with the solar panels. Now to adding them to Alexa/Apple Home and Google Home. That is a little more challenging. Require a learning curve. However, pay close attention and do not confuse the SwitchBot App with the SwitchBot Hub 3. The SwitchBot Hub 3 must be use to migrate the device and control in the above 3rd part Ecosystem.

NOT compatible with Alexa
The actual curtain3 bot works well for opening and closing your curtains. Maybe with a different smart home technology it works better. If you have an Alexa home then switchbot is not for you. I purchased the curtain3 device to automate my bedroom curtains. Only to learn that you need a hub to allow your Alexa device to communicate with the curtain bot. I found this annoying because there was not anything in the advertising for the curtain3 that would suggest that you needed another purchase to actually make them work with Alexa. Also, the hub I eventually purchased never communicated with Alexa. The apps would say the Switchbot app and the Alexa app were “linked” but Alexa could never find any of the Switchbot devices. So I ended up returning the curtain3 bot and the hub. I wanted voice controlled devices, as advertised, but Switchbot is just not compatible with Alexa.

Amazing Product, Great Price.
I was hesitant about buying these, doubting they would work as advertised, especially at that price point. But I'm so glad I did. They were very easy to set up and install on the curtain track over our sliding glass doors with our new curtains (also purchased on Amazon along with the track). These can be controlled by an app on my phone. You have to buy two of them if you want curtains that part from the middle, still a steal compared to automated track which goes for hundreds more. These can be controlled by an app on my phone. You do have to buy two of them if you want curtains that part from the middle, one for each side. Still a steel compared to automated track which goes for much more. I love that we can set this up to open and close at certain times of the day to keep the heat out of the room on really hot days. There are two speed modes, standard, which is pretty fast and shown here, and something called quiet mode I think which opens much much more slowly and quietly. I believe that mode is designed to light into a bedroom gradually in the morning without waking you up. The set of curtains shown here (also from Amazon) block UV light have a rich linen feel and look and cost about $160 for both panels, pleated, each 8 feet wide. The track itself (also from Amazon) was easy to mount. I bought enough to cover the full 16 foot width of these doors for $85. That adds up to $430 plus tax for an entire entirely new, beautiful window treatment that keeps the sun from fading our wood floor and rug in the morning .

I corrected my previous review. It's very important to install correct rubber wheels and noise become less and less need for recalibration. Overall very good product. Always stable connection and works great with Alexa

A lot of step by step setup but it was easy to understand. Needed to adjust things to fit them in my home. Initially a bit worried that the white color device on my black curtain rod would be too noticeable but it seems okay on it. A bit of spending to just open curtains automatically but love it as set times to open and close by itself. Also motorized rods are even more expensive and they are not portable. Still think it would be better to install powered motorized one if do renovation next time for long term as no worry for batteries or solar panels, and clean look.

Hands down the coolest home automation i bought! Works well and very easy to install. Works with app, have schedules set with sunrise and light levels (need a seperate hub/charging thing for that) also a very handy little feature is if you pull open the curtain gently then it automatically triggers the open close which is great if you dont have phone handy. Handles the extended curtain rods very well
