Easy set up and all connection cables included.
This is a small sized soundbar and separate subwoofer unit. All the cables you’d ever need are included in the package and instructions were clear. I have linked it up with an LG smart TV and the soundbar fits neatly in front of the TV without obscuring the TV remote receiver. Sounds great for such a small unit and very good price.I had originally bought an LG sound bar but it was huge and obscured the TV remote receiver so I couldn’t even switch the TV on with the soundbar in position. Also there were no cables included so I couldn’t even set it up out of the box, very disappointing - so sent it back and got this nifty set instead.

ULTRA SLIM SOUNDBAR, GOOD OVERALL PERFORMANCE WHEN USED WITH THE WOOFER
My Toshiba 50UV2F53DB TV has ok sound for speech, but I wanted to connect my Audiolab 6000A based stereo Hi Fi system for extra soundstage and bass for films and music programmes. The TV does not allow any of the audio outputs to work with the internal loudspeakers. I found that a SPDIF splitter would provide optical signal to both my hifi and to a soundbar, and that the Ultimea S40 soundbar would fit under the TV.The soundbar is 41mm high, as there is 3mm of rubber “foot” in addition to the 38mm of soundbar. This was ok as I had a maximum of 49mm to play with. The soundbar looks quite neat in matt black and the overall appearance gives an impression of quality as the grille, input panel and controls on the side are all a good fit.I tried the soundbar by itself as I was hoping there would be enough midrange for speech without using the passive woofer which would require the extra wire and finding somewhere to put it. The sound was, however, rather thin and clearly needed the Ultimea woofer for the lower-midrange. My hi-fi is bi-amped and the bass/mid range power amplifier is behind a flap with plenty of space above it. As the power amplifier has cooling fins on the front, the woofer could go on its side on top of it. I have a separate Mission sub-woofer for extreme low bass if it is present in the optical signal. With the woofer the sound was fine for speech and I used the LED button on the remote control to switch off the front display so that it is not obvious that the soundbar is producing the sound. The only time I need to touch the soundbar controls is to switch the whole thing on if the power has been disconnected. This requires either the remote or using the button on the side of the soundbar The soundbar defaults to the last source, volume and bass settings so there is no need to adjust anything. The HiFi system adds the extra soundstage “width” and bass I was looking for, so I’m quite happy, although I would have been even happier to have found just a soundbar with good mid-range which was less then 50mm high !

Inexpensive sound bar set up with subwoofer,
I wanted a simple set up for the office TV that has terrible sound. This comes very well packed in foam so it was perfect.Up and running in 10 mins using the optical cable but it does have HDMI and BT etc too.We did have to adjust the TV to synch the sound.Simple options via remote which are easy to work out without the manual. The sound is ok. Its bass heavy which is what I wanted but as the bar is small it cannot do much mid range. You do get some EQ options to try though. Volume is OK for the office but not for a large lounge etc.Great value for money. Might order another for the caravan!

If you're worried if it's any good, don't. It's great.
Usually, I'm very picky when it comes to home audio equipment, especially home cinema choosing big brands every time. However, we wanted a small soundbar for the daughters bedroom to boost the inadequate sound from her new TV, and also so she could Bluetooth her Spotify playlists etc. After reading the reviews, along with product specs, I decided to give this Ultimea Nova S40 a go, even though i can't say I'd ever heard the manufacturers name before. What can I say! It's brilliant! After initially bedding it in over a few days of playing movies and music through it, as its initially quite tinny, for the price tag I literally can't fault it. Bearing in mind mini Bluetooth amps alone cost over £80 on Amazon, you're getting a slim and discreet soundbar PLUS passive subwoofer AND all cables and wall brackets for less than £70!No it hasn't got Dolby Surround decoding (you have to switch the TV audio output to PCM), and admittedly the loose wire fed through the back of the sub through a tiny hole that blows air out like the front bass port making an annoying hiss, ideally needs plugging (hot melt glue), but other than that it's great.Would I buy another? Absolutely.

Great Piece Of Kit
I am very happy with the sound quality, design and size of this soundbar and woofer. The soundbar is designed so it will either fit in the space between the bottom of your TV and the surface it's mounted on, or be mounted on a wall with the brackets supplied. Everything you need is supplied including a right angled HDMI adaptor, which is a thoughtful touch. Competitively priced, this is everything you need to improve watching your TV. I also absolutely love the Bluetooth functionality and the excellent sound when playing Spotify.

Stopped working after a year
Sound quality was fine for the price but the system stopped working suddenly after a year of minimal usage.

Great value for money.
Easy to set up and the sound enhancement to the TV is first rate. Everything is in the box to make any kind of set up a doddle. Except no batteries for the handset ! (Who doesn’t supply batteries for the handset?) So if you’re thinking of buying this piece of kit make sure you’ve got a couple of AAA batteries handy or you’ll be like the kid on Christmas morning who discovers that his remote control toy tank won’t work because batteries were not included.
