Very nice, well-made, high-end glasses
I already have one pair of Maui Jim sunglasses which I like very much, and so ordered these as a Vine item because I liked the shape of the lenses and the brand's overall quality. Like my others, these are very well-made and stylish, with great lenses, nice and dark as well as polarized. The frames are also top-end and should last for years. Unfortunately, the earpieces proved to be too long and thus allow the glasses to slip down on my nose instead of holding them in place - and I don't see any way to adjust where the downward bend is because the plastic earpiece has the metal rod inside; I'd be afraid of breaking it.Fortunately for my wife, they fit her just fine, so she gets a very nice new pair of sunglasses! The reason I only gave 4 stars is partially that earpiece issue, but also the cheap folding case that Maui Jim provides, essentially a triangular shaped box that you fold out from flat (the way it's shipped) to form a rather cheesy case. For sunglasses costing over $200, a decent quality protective clamshell case should ALWAYS be included. The other issue I have with these - or any high-end sunglasses - is the price. I don't downgrade for that in my review because it's a personal decision and entirely up to you decide if they are worth it or not, but whether Maui Jim, Costa, Oakley, or whatever, I just don't see anything that makes them so expensive. Are they better than a pair of $50 sunglasses? Absolutely, of course! Are they 5 times or more better? I can't see it.I understand that you're paying for the brand name, style, the reputation, the cachet, the status symbol, their advertising, etc - and that's what makes it a personal choice, how much you value those things. And yes, they are indeed excellent quality and we'll enjoy having them and get good use out of them, but the truth is that I would have been very unlikely to buy them had I been paying full price. That's almost too bad, because otherwise I'd probably own several pair - but not without trying them on first! To each his (or her) own...

Solid glasses
Very nice quality. Great polarization. Flexible arms and durable feeling frame. My new favorite glasses. Maui Jim is known for having some of the best on the market and these are proving that.
