Q: is the battery replaceable?

I've not replaced the battery, but upon reading the instructions, it does give instructions how to replace the 1 CR2032 lithium battery.

Q: Can it read water temperture in a dishwasher

There are models that can measure the temperature of the dishwasher; we would recommend that you look at model 21462-IJ or the TempRite test strips (8766J). I was going crazy all day trying to to get this darn thing to work. I read an answer in the questions and was informed there is a film over the numbers, duh! Took that off and it works! No directions included.
