that is not overly bright, which can sometimes be a problem
I like this product because it’s not overly bright does what it says zoomable everything about it it’s just the way I expected working under cars or on remodels in houses. It wasn’t so bright that you can’t see anything.

Solid, Simple, Thought Out
Just arrived, so these are my first impressions: The brightness of the light beam is the same across the whole beam, and then it falls sharply to no light. So the brightness is evenly distributed, the beam intensity is continuously variable, and the diameter of the beam is also continuously variable. Somebody really thought this through and got it right. So far, I love it.

Wish I could dim the red LED like you can the white
I am big into astrophotography and astronomy in general so I have a collection of red lights etc to protect everyone's night vision while we're out. The headlamps with red lights are great to make it easier to set up and tare down in the dark when I'm leaving before others near me. However, quite often these new headlamps think even the red lights need to be super bright. Red light protects your night vision, but 1000 lumens of red light is still going to be too bright. Often red lights are quite dim, following the "only just enough" mantra.Similarly, a lot of the headlamps these days think motion activation is a super useful feature....well...not for astronomy when that means you might accidentally turn on a crazy bright white light. Nothing would anger the crowd of astronomers more than sending a few thousand lumens of white light through the crowd an hour or two into astronomical dusk.I would LOVE if I could get this exact same headlamp with the red LED and white LED reversed. Let me dial in the brightness and focus of the red light instead of the white light, let me motion activate the red light (but still be able to disable that feature entirely) and give the white light a separate button. All in all, this lamp does have a nice quality feeling build, the features work well and reliably, and the headband is comfortable even for my big head. My only nit is that they use a USB-C connector, but it doesn't support USB 3.0 chargers so you have to use a USB-A to USB-C charging cable and cannot use a USB-C to USB-C charging cable from a USB-C charger. That's actually very annoying because it doesn't charge as fast AND it means yet another device that requires me to keep a special mental note and unique cable around for.

So many features!
I gave this to my adult son for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. It has so many features packed into a small product. I love how the motion control on off switch works by just waving your hand in front of it leaving you truly hands-free!

Very bright and feature packed headlamp
This is a very bright and feature-packed headlamp. The headlamp is fully self-contained, the body is plastic/rubber coated but feels very durable and light weight. The strap is highly adjustable for different head sizes. There are no pieces on the back of the strap to pinch your hair/head if you're lying down while using it which is nice. Curiously, there are no instructions included with the headlamp and the box is fancy looking, but also doesn't describe the operation of the lamp (unless I overlooked it before I threw it out). There are a few cool features so I'll try to describe them below.- To turn on and off: there is a knob on the right side of the body that turns the unit on and also adjusts the brightness. As the description says, it is variable/infinite adjustment from no light to full brightness. You have to turn the knob counter-clockwise fully until you feel a click to power it off completely - it is sometimes possible to have it completely dim but not powered off so keep that in mind. Turn clockwise to increase the brightness up to its limit. There are +/- markings and arrows on the knob to aid with this too.- To adjust the beam width: the lens of the light can be turned to adjust the beam width from narrow to wide. The lens is firm so should remain in whatever position you put it in for future use.- To turn on a red light: the main light has to be turned off first, so you have to ensure the knob for the main light is all the way off and clicked (counter-clockwise). You press and hold the button on the top of the headlamp for 3 or more seconds and the red light will turn on. Pressing the button again switches the red light to a fast flash and pressing again turns it off. If you turn on the main light knob while the red light is on, the red light is turned off and the main light is turned on, making it seem not possible to have both lights on at the same time, if for some reason that were desired. Not a big deal.- To use a "hand wave on/off" feature: there is an interesting feature where you can turn the main light on, and then set it so that you can quickly wave your hand in front of the light to turn it on/off without having to turn the knob or lose the brightness adjustment. This looks to be handy for situations where you want the light and need to turn it off and on quickly without losing the brightness and don't want to have to keep turning the on/off knob. To enable, you first turn the light on using the knob, adjusting to the desired brightness as normal and then press the top button once. This turns on the feature and should turn on a blue light on the front of the unit to indicate it is active. Then you can just wave your hand near the sensors on the front of the headlamp to have it turn on and off. This is an interesting feature; you have to have your hand closer than a foot away and be aware that when you pass your hand in front of the light, some will reflect back in your eyes which might be annoying. I also found that sometimes if something else comes close to your face, you may find it accidentally turning on or off. So while this feature is handy, it may be less useful than it sounds if you're putting your hand or other objects in the range of the sensor frequently.- There are 3 white LED dot indicators to indicate the battery level when powered on and when charging. There is a 4th blue LED that lights when the "hand wave" sensor mode is enabled.- There's a USB-C charging port with a rubber cover and the headlamp includes a USB-C to USB-A charging cord.- The body can also be adjusted in a downward angle so you can aim the light down while you work. It clicks in place and feels reasonably firm in staying in the position you put it.Overall, I think this is a very nice headlamp with a lot of neat features and worth giving a try.

Junk, will not let me return
This light was great I thought used it twice went to charge it again and it will not charge plugged it in to many different cords and none worked so it has to be the light it's self was going to return but they say my wind for return was the 29 of sep. I think is bs. Because I bout this for night fishing which I don't do that often so didn't get to test it more than a few times would have put no stars if it would let me do not recommend at all.....
