Very satisfied - smooth, even writing, good price, good looking pen - quality feel.
The first box I received was damaged on the outside but the Pen Presentation Box was fine inside - the problem was there were no contents - none. No pen, converter, or ink. Amazon quickly sent another with apologies. The second pen arrived quickly and was complete. There was slight damage/creasing to the outer box but the Presentation Box was perfect. Pen is beautiful and has been flawless over the first few days. I carry the pen in my shirt pocket. It has a strong clip and no leaking/dripping of any kind. I cannot imagine a better Pen Set for the money (note: I bought while there was a $10 coupon offer). I will add a writing sample when I have proper paper and desk, so my writing is presentable. Block printing can leave enough ink to smear if not allowed a few seconds before handling. All writing has been very smooth, no skips. I am a 'beginner' fountain pen enthusiast but have no issues when writing. inverted worked like a finer tip and still could write skip free. Recommended. Converter has not been used yet but functions smooth & has a double seal not seen on higher priced pens I considered. Will try to update review once it has been tried.

Impressive quality
This is the first fountain pen I have owned in a long time, and I must say, so far I'm very impressed. First off, this pen comes in a very nice leather (not sure if it's natural leather or artificial) stitched case, with a soft velvety interior, complete with a box of 6 ink cartridges, an ink converter (refillable ink tank), a clear user instructions card, and a service department contact card if you should ever need it.What really struck me next, was the absolutely beautiful, deep Royal Blue color of this pen. The photos really don't do the rich color and shine justice. The pen has a very nice weight to it, but doesn't feel too heavy.Writing with this pen is simply a dream, the pen strokes are very light and allow for elegant writing, and it has a steady ink flow. However, this pen also allows you to write in clear and precise print.I will continue to use this pen for my weekly letters to my Love overseas, as well as my daily work, and if needed, I will update this review after extended use.So far, I would definitely recommend this Beirluner fountain pen!

Much better quality than the price implies.
Bought on sale for very low price. I'm not a collector but I own a lot of fountain pens and this has become one of my favorites. It's attractive, well balanced and smooth writing (xf nib). I only used bottled ink (Noodlers) for I was pleased that it came with a good quality ink converter is good.

Believe the Reviews … This One is Very Good!
Recently, my love of writing with a fountain pen was re-iginited, ironically, from listening to an audio book about an art store which sold fine pens, of all things. That led me to look for an inexpensive fountain pen that I could use for daily writing, anywhere, and the Beiluner pen hit all of the boxes for me.I was gifted a very expensive Mont Blanc Meisterstuck 149 decades ago, but hadn’t used it much because of its value. I love writing with fountain pens, and even lost a favorite Waterman years ago which I’ve never been able to replace. So, I on the hunt for an every day carry pen, and was very pleasantly surprised when I found the Beiluner fountain pen.Pros:- Inexpensive … only $37 USD ($27 with coupon)- Uses both cartridges AND converter (included … I only use well ink)- Distinctive styling with lacquered finish and 24K gold plated nib- Choice of medium or fine nibs (I prefer fine).- Nice gift box … great presentation for giving (I already bought 2 more as gifts!).- Writes smoothly, with even ink flow … it glides over the paper with no snagging, stuttering, or blotching. It’s literally smoother than a roller-ball pen.- Honestly, the experience rivals my Mont Blanc but at a fraction of the price ($37 USD vs. ~$$$Insane.00 USD)Cons:- Literally None!Testing:I’ve been journaling my travels (at home after I return) using the Mont Blanc. It never leaves the house because I’d be heart broken if I ever lost or dropped it. To put the Beiluner to the test, I’ve been alternating between the two, and have written several pages over the last several days with both pens. I almost prefer writing with the Beiluner, only because of its fine nib (the Mont Blanc came with a medium nib) and the way it glides over the pages, the same as the Mont Blanc. With its narrower barrel, it fits my hand much better than the thicker Mont Blanc, and I find I can write longer without hand fatigue. Conclusion:So, if you couldn’t already tell, I highly recommend the Beiluner for its affordability, smooth writing feel, consistent ink flow, and ergonomic feel in my hand. I know some may shade me for for comparing a premium Mont Blanc with an Amazon special, but I’m fortunate enough to have access to both and provide this honest review for anyone who is curious just how good these pens are. Also, my review is mine alone, not sponsored and I paid for my this pen like everyone else. And yes, I’m keeping it and any other pens I review in the future.

It exudes quality in look and feel.
Fantastic pen at this discounted price. High quality feel. Comes loaded with a black ink cartridge. Extra cartridges and converter are very nice to have included. Writes very smooth. The blue and gold is beautiful. The case is very nice as well. Quality feel. I ordered a green one right away.

FIRST MINUTES OF OWNERSHIP: Does not work
I made the plunge and bought the first fountain pen of my life at 60 years old. I followed the instructions in the box and let the pen sit for 5 minutes to saturate the nib.Nothing works. I'm sorely disappointed and do not know what to do. My enthusiasm has almost entirely evaporated--is this why people don't use fountain pens?Well, apparently I did not push HARD enough on the ink container. It is now flowing and seems to be working fine. I'll have to get used to how it works/writes.The pen itself is very nice looking and feels like good quality. I have never worked/handled luxury pens of $50+, so I cannot compare it to that. However, next to the basic pens I normally use, it feels great.

Good, not great.
Writes well, but the cap doesn’t stay on the back when in use. You have to lay it aside or have it risk falling off at a bad time. Seems like a design miss. Also, the quality of manufacturing is not the best. The name is ever so slightly not straight. It still functions well and the look is nice.
