Amazon Basics Flat Weight Bench, Black

This small bench was exactly what I needed for my bedroom gym. I have a dormer window space that it fits in nicely next to my recumbant exercise bike. The bench is very light (easy to move around), but the frame is very sturdy. The weakest component is the wood base that the padding is installed on. If carefull to avoid over stressing the edges, I don't see a problem. I keep a towel on top of the vinyl covered padding to protect it - otherwise, I'm sure it will wear out with moderate to heavy use. I find the stability and bench width and length perfect for my "average" height and weight.

This bench is well made , very easy to put together and I highly recommended this bench if you’re are just starting out or getting back into working out . I am a bigger guy and this bench easily supports my weight .

Nice sturdy bench, perfect size and great price. Easy to assemble

Durable and does the job. My only complaint is that I have it on the lowest height, and when I’m on my back for bench presses my feet cannot sit flat on the ground. At 5’9” I’m not short, and I have long legs. It seems high, and I wouldn’t recommend it for shorter people.

Unless you have to have an expensive name. This is fine. Height seems good. Plenty stable enough.I’ve benched 375lbs at 240lbs body weight with no issues as far as the bench goes.

Excellent addition to your home work out room, very sturdy and comfortable

This is a lightweight bench, within that limitation, it’s quite well made. I was pleasantly surprised to find all the hardware, all the parts, the paint job well done, and the instructions easy to read. Once it was unpacked, and instructions read, the actual assembly was about 7 minutes.Update: I didn't realize the bench at 18 inches is 2 inches higher then the benches in my gym. For some that won't be a problem, but my lower leg height is 17 inches, and that forces me to arch my back a little while laying flat, as I have a weak spot in my lower back, it quickly becomes uncomfortable. The solution is a block to put my feet on , but I don't understand why Amazon varied from the common height of 16 inches.

Nothing fancy but well made and easy to assemble. Seems durable.
