Inexpensive, Yet Effective Outdoor Halogen Lights
The installation was a breeze. The new halogen lights now light up our driveway in a light that can almost be characterized as "daylight." You will need to know what you're doing to install this though as it requires, as with all modern lighting, a grounded connection. Nonetheless, the lights worked upon the first installation and work well weeks later. Also, requires sealing the junction box as it is an outdoor light and should be weather sealed. The kit does not include the junction box and thus requires that you buy one if your current light does not have one. I would recommend this product if you're handy and confident enough to do straightforward wiring. Will check in in several months after it has weathered the winter here in New England.

Not worth it
I purchased 2 of these lights and had them professionally installed. The one on the front of the house has done fine, no problems. The one on the back of the house has a faulty seal and blew the bulb, it then filled with water which froze over the winter, by the time we could safely remove the shatter bulb it was spring and of course it rained and refilled the light again. It's really hit or miss with these guys and I am inclined to purchase a more weather-tight, proven item. Saving money does not save aggravation.

Great lights, poor bulbs
I ordered three of these to light the back of my house. Within four months, with only being on for 10-15 minutes a day, two of the bulbs have quit working. When I opened the cover to replace the bulbs, the ceramic ends of the bulbs had broken and crumbled into small pieces. I ended up buying some 130 volt, rough service rated, T3 bulbs from a big box store and installed them. We will see how long the replacement bulbs last. I will probably be ordering more of these light fixtures, but I will probably replace the bulbs before i install them to keep from having to climb back up several months later to replace the bulbs.

This one works halfway
Since I have had this item, I have continually blown bulbs on the right side of the unit. Regardless of the cost of the replacement bulb, they all blow - just on one side. There is a defect in the contact spring assembly that retains the bulb and I think this is why the right side keeps going out. The left side contact spring is tight and does not burn out bulbs.

Is OK
It is OK but would not purchase again. Quality is just fair.

They provide a good amount of semi-focused flood lighting which can illuminate large ...
I have five of these on my home now - some wall mounted some eave mounted. Some have been up for nearly 10 years with no electrical problems, no rusting and minimal paint fade. They provide a good amount of semi-focused flood lighting which can illuminate large spaces very well. Two points of caution when using these - make sure you put something under the area where you are working when you are changing bulbs - especially if you are up on a ladder. Its real easy to drop and lose one of the bulb cover screws. Second, make sure you look inside the lamp housing and read the warning on the reflector which says " insert bulb this side first ". That side of the bulb connector is spring loaded and will allow you to insert the other end of the bulb without cracking it. If you insert the bulb in reverse, you stand a fair chance of either breaking the bulb or cracking its seal which takes a definite toll on bulb longevity.

Just what I was looking for
This light fixture has the power to light up a large space. Purchased for a yard when letting out our dog. The two heads are moveable so you can concentrate on the space you want to light. An inexpensive fixture that so far is working very well.

Water got in an ruined them quickly
The lights leaked and let water in causing them not to work anymore. They only worked for a few months.
