A great little charger!
I thought "USB-C" was supposed to be an improvement over Micro-USB. In a number of ways it has been. Unfortunately, those improvements (easy-to-plug in connections, ability to carry charging voltages for different devices, etc.) for me don't off-set what has become the potential for some very expensive repair costs. I've now had to deal with two devices that have had failures of the actual USB-C ports. The first is my wife's Samsung Galaxy 9 phone. The charging port has become loose from its mount on the phone's circuit board. I had planned to tear the phone down and replace the port with a new circuit board card that's available, but I did a similar tear down on her older LG to replace its battery, and that was no fun and not a quick thing to do. I've avoided repairing her Samsung thanks to its ability to charge via Qi charging. The second device is a Chromebook laptop my great-great niece owns, that charges via USB-C. It too has developed a major problem with its charge port, although it did not come loose from the motherboard. No, the port has had the double-sided contact pad within the port break apart leaving some of the contact leads unsupported. This prevents the port from carrying the charge current from making its way to the motherboard circuitry, unless you physically sit and hold the cable in just-the-right position. Replacing the motherboard costs more than the Chromebook itself! So what do these problems have to do with the Anker charger? Well, I ordered it to use for my wife's Samsung. I also ordered Anker's Qi stand charger pad. This is a "killer combo", as together they charge her phone just as fast as her original USB-C setup and requires no physical connection at all! So no more issues with the port failure. She's really happy with Qi charging, and I'm happy with how well these Anker products work. We had tried Qi charging her phone early on by trying Otterbox's Qi charger, but it was really slow; so slow we sent it back and began using the USB-C port. This time though we got the right combo! Oh, just thought I'd mention, the Anker Qi charging pad doesn't use USB-C to connect to the Anker charger. Guess what it uses? Micro-USB! Yes, that's right, good-old Micro-USB. Bullet-proof!

Perfect- Don't hesitate to get this charger if it suits your needs
It works wonderfully, as expected from an ANKER product- months after purchasing, all parts of the charger look brand new and function just as well. I use this to charge my Surface Pro 8 while on the go, as it takes up much less space than the Microsoft OEM charger and is far more portable. With the included cable, the Surface charges perfectly through its Thunderbolt ports- I get no charging warning as the Surface requires a minimum of 60W, which this charger provides with ease. While I bought this primarily for its USB-C compatibility, the USB-A port is an excellent feature which pushed me to buy this exact model. You truly never know when you'll need either type of USB port while on the go.

Anker es sinónimo de calidad
Un tamaño más grande del esperado, pero de ira un producto de calidad, como otros que he comprado a la marca.

Why buy anything else?
First I'll begin with the cons. The design. Why is it horizontal? If you have a brick that is hanging quite a bit off the wall and the plug is slightly loose expect this thing to hang down with the prongs exposed. If it was a vertical design you wouldn't worry every time you take plug it in and guide it as you sit down. Because with how heavy it is it will likely fall out without extremely new plugs or a wall adapter.Second con, this is a finger print magnent! The glossy look is supposed to make it feel premium but when it's all smudged up that takes away from the whole point of the design.Third con. The cord length sucks! It is extremely short. Don't expect to use your phone in bed without it either yanking out of the wall or adjusting your position so the cord as as much give as possible. It isn't the shortest thing in the world but it will always be a mild annoyance that you think of every time you use it...Last con, price point. Seems cheap on paper but if you are like me. You got this because you just got a 2024 phone. Angry at the company for not including a brick but you go with Anker because you know it will hold up and won't damage your phone battery. So the 40$ you spend on it makes your wallet sweat when you also get a phone case, new phone, wireless charger and maybe even a cord for your old phone to transfer data. Best charger I've ever had but Anker is like Apple, all their products have a "tax."Now for the positives. May seem like I hate the product but even with the downsides it will still be the best charger you will ever buy. I rated 4 instead of 5 because at this price point and this big of a brand... Those gripes of mine could be easily fixed. But they won't fix them because that takes money.First pro, brand reputation. I trust anker and anyone I know who knows about them does for a reason! Their products are simply unmatched. To a point where they are far better then buying an accessory from the company who made the product you are using it with! That says a lot!Second pro, this thing is luxurious! It is the top dog! From the second you open it you feel the weight of the brick. To be honest it has quality control like you've never seen. Yes the price is a downside but at least you know they spare no expense. The cable is sliky and sterdy like a tough satin or silicone. You can tell without even using it that it will last for years of heavy use without a sweat. It holds a tight connection to the phone and never heats up. Never heats the phone either.Second pro, it is a beast. I know most people don't care about speed but as a entrepreneur, I do everything on my phone. Graphic design, content creation, intense recording and editing so time is money and this takes next to no time to charge. If your phone is on the older side or you don't care about charge speed or keeping your phones battery in good condition. You don't need this. But that IQ chip in the brick isn't just marketing fluff. The phone genuinely charges differently depending on how it is used. If the phone is slightly warm it charges slower. If the phone isn't being used much that day it will trickle charge. If the phone is being used a lot that day it will kick to max power and you can blink and it'll be charged faster then you realize. It's almost like a party trick.Third pro, longevity. This thing delivers. I haven't had it for too long but anker products are almost impossible to break. This will give you a huge amount of uses before it will kick the bucket and because it is using cutting edge tech and quality. It will keep your phone healthier too. Not just with the battery but also performance. Many cheap chargers make your phone warm or you can hear it charging the phone, which isn't good. It won't blow up or anything but that is a sign it's providing a low quality charge that will heat damage sensitive components. Heat means degrading and faster replacement. It also means there will be little resale value. So a high quality charger will help the planet, your wallet and the lifespand of the device and charger. There are a few gripes but the positives make them so insignificant and it will make your new phone feel even newer! The multiple ports is also a nice touch and lessens the blow of the price. It's a hot topic with friends too. No more need for them to barrow a charger when they can just share yours.
