Mine wouldn't stay open, then flipped backwards. The second one is perfect.
Edit; Love this little EDC (everyday carry) style flip/folding knife. I had trouble with the first one sent, the seller/vendor contacted me, was very understanding and made it right for me. The action is very smooth and solid. This is not a 'Bush Knife' of course, not made for heavy action, but it is one that could be extremely useful and has a nice sharp edge. Inexpensive, classy, and 'smart' looking. I will probably buy another one. And thanks very much to the vendor. Original Review (background on 1st rec'd defective knife; This knife looks really nice, maybe I just got one from a bad batch. Out of the box, the blade would not lock open, the keeper would not come away from the frame as if perhaps the spring aspect of it was compromised due to sitting in the closed position for quite a long time or just not good quality spring steel, hard to know for sure. I was able to pry the keeper out just a slight bit so the blade might lock, that didn't work either. Since the knife was useless at that point, I can say now after taking it apart, that the internal parts are amazing not counting the defective, lock-open keeper, it has some very tiny bearing assemblies as part of the structure, really ingenious and would be super smooth if not defective. I wanted to exchange this, but the return cost was half that of the selling price, and fuel to take it to a UPS 'Store' would cost more than the knife not to mention 2 hours of my time.

Solid quality materials with a tight lock and no play at the pivot.
Terrific bang for buck! I highly recommend this very useful and versatile solution to a pocket knife! The action is smooth and quick, like a switchblade, yet legal in state states with laws against switchblades. It's not only the perfect letter opener, but the blade dimensions make it very useful for any number of tasks. There's a little faux leather sheath with a belt loop attachment on a ring which could be useful if the belt clip wasn't already more useful. Great for a box cutter if you know how to avoid over penetration, and great for penetration, if that is your goal. It's like a mini Ninja Tanto Blade...

The price point is satisfactory!
The construction of the knife is solid. I was a little worried when I realized the blade edge was not sharp. With a very little effort that issue was resolved quickly. It’s a beautiful piece, easy to open and close. The belt clip is very ridged and well made.

Great product and great size
I work outside a lot in sketchy areas as part of my job so this has become a must for me. Knife is thin and easy to keep in pocket, opens and closes easily. Knife arrived sharp and ready. I've carried this for about a year and it is still holding well

I can't believe is was so cheap! Looks SO NICE & SHARP! but....
CONS: 1. Really a booger to get open at first! The action is so stiff I had to pry the blade out. I loosen the screws at the blade side and just worked the blade back and forth for nearly an hour. Now it opens fine. 2. Included case is cheap and doesn't fit well. PROS: 1. Fit and finish is perfect. Sleek and sharp, I can find no fault with the build quality. 2. Wood looks great and fits in the inset showing no gaps. Looks like a much more expensive knife. 3. Very sharp

Looks good, sharp blade, but ultimately falls apart.
Overall this is a nice knife for light use. The knife was sharp enough out of the packaging for immediate use and maintained its edge. I found it easy enough to open for an un-assisted blade. However, it did begin to become more difficult to close over time. I often had to put pressure on the blade to release the safety lever. This knife also did not last very long. The wood inlay separated from the metal housing after about a month or two and three to four months later it will no longer fully close. I will admit that I use a knife a lot but I also did not stress this knife as much as I would normally. This knife would be useful for opening mail and packages. However, even for prolonged light-duty use, it likely won't last. But it was cheap so it was still a decent value for the money.

In one word... Tremendous!
Let's see... I can't say much other than I love this knife! Quality=mid to high, smoothness when opening= wonderful, Design= slim, sleek, and fits great in my pocket being barely noticeable. Has a standard locking mechanism found on most pocket knives, and it has that "hefty feel to it" that you only see with genuine quality, and the rosewood inlays are almost perfectly fitted. I'd say 8 or 9 out of 10 all day, definitely recommend! Wish I could find more things like this nowadays, since it seems most items are made way more cheaply and without any care or passion just for creating a a wonderful product.

Blades and the Male Psyche
The enduring appeal of knives among men is rooted in a complex interplay of psychological, evolutionary, and cultural factors that go far beyond utility. As one of humanity’s oldest tools, the knife symbolizes autonomy, competence, and survival qualities historically associated with masculine roles of protection and provision. Psychologically, it evokes the archetype of the restrained warrior: capable, self-reliant, and prepared. The act of carrying or maintaining a knife often becomes a personal ritual, reinforcing a sense of mastery and control in an increasingly digital, intangible world. For many, the first knife is received as a rite of passage, marking the transition into responsibility and adulthood, and carrying with it a deeply personal narrative. Unlike modern technology, the knife remains mechanical, tactile, and intimate—responding directly to the human hand and will. In this way, it serves not only as a functional object, but as a symbol of identity, legacy, and a primal connection to the material world echoing a masculine desire to remain grounded, capable, and in quiet control amidst the complexities of modern life. Just a fun knife :)
