Much better than OEM griddle
After going through 2 GE griddles (aluminum with nonstick coating) where the non stick comes off in just over a year, I was looking for a better option. This griddle fits perfectly for my oven (JGS760FP2DS) and being solid cast iron, cooks much more evenly and I know it will outlast the oven. Being cast, it needs to be seasoned for best results but I knew that going in. And, it doesn’t hurt that it’s cheaper than the lesser quality GE aluminum product!

Excellent but slightly short
Purchased to replace the OEM aluminum griddle provided by the oven manufacturer. Width exactv fit but length 1/4 inch short and dies not rest on two of the oven's silicone bumpers. Otherwise high quality cast iron -- heats evenly and can be seasoned as needed. Would buy again if needed.

Cast Iron is the way to go.
Original OEM griddle in cast iron form. Expensive stove came with cheap aluminum griddle that was supposed to be non stick yet the non stick wore out in 3 years. This cast iron version will last as long as the stove will. Once properly seasoned it performs excellent.

Cast Iron grill is the best, see why
Changing from the Aluminum grill to the cast iron grill was a wise and worthwhile step backward. It requires a food oil treatment with heat periodically after use, but allows you to refresh the appearance and continued use with out scratches that can't be removed. Yes, it is heavier but so worth the change and cost. Sometimes change is not worth the effort from the customer's view.

It’s a coated cast iron pan?!
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for an alternative to the original flat top from GE, whose coating had been flaking off for some time. I assumed choosing the cast iron option would protect me from coatings, but apparently I missed that detail. It’s still coated and I’m already seeing scratches. Yes maybe I shouldn’t use a fork to flip things but that would not be a problem if it was plain cast iron. Then again would be a large surface to prevent from rusting. So I see the flip side to that, but I just don’t want coated cook surfaces. The surface is extremely rough and even after slowly cooking a few slices of bacon there is a tone of crud to clean off of the “non stick surface” I do not recommend these but I have not found a better alternative. Maybe the original being aluminum was able to disperse the heat better as well, but the coating failed immediately. It’s also extremely heavy now but was expected.

Awesome replacement!
My original griddle that came with this GE range is scratched up and almost looks rusted. Made the whole stove look jank. I'm soooo glad I bought this. I thought for sure I'd be too long to fit bc my original one was about a 1/4" shorter then this one but as you can see in my photo it fits perfect. I still need to rub it with oil and bake it before using it but I think honestly I might keep the new on for looks and pull my old scratched up one out for cooking. I don't want to touch this one. 🤣 buy it!!

Wonderful—SUCH a step up from nonstick aluminum!
Wonderful! Fit my GE stove almost perfectly (is just the tiniest bit short). So much nicer than the worthless nonstick aluminum original. Seasoned up very easily (but I have much experience with cast iron), and was nonstick within a day or two. I even scrambled eggs on it in the first week and only had to wipe it clean with a paper towel afterwards. Highly recommend!
