I bought a 1978 house, so it had some old musky smells in it caused from mold under my house. I bought two of these dehumidifiers, one for my laundry room and one for my living room. It took one week of constant running to literally get rid of the smells. I usually empty the container about once every two weeks, so it's no issue. This little device literally kept me from having to move, as I am seriously allergic to mold. Totally worth the money.

The best small room humidifier I've used (and I've used several). It gets a lot of moisture out of the air. It works as a good nightlight. And emptying the reservoir is a breeze. The reservoir slips easily in and out of a notch in the unit that lets you get it out from the stand holding up the dehumidifier, to easily open up and empty. The reservoir itself is easy to open, easy to properly close, and as it has a notch to set it properly back into the stand, it is always replaced properly.

We live in very humid climate and I bough this to put into our walk-in closet since it can get musty b/c of humidity and lack of AC vent in there. I empty it every two week and is perfectly dry in our closet.

Been working strong 24/7 for over a year now

I live in the midwest, so it gets cold. The tiny entryway room at the front of my house tends to get a bit of moisture due to it being only partially insulated, so I like to keep a tiny dehumidifier to keep it dry. I had a different kind in there for years and it finally died. I would have just purchased the same model, but the container lid was not removable, which made cleaning it difficult. I got this one as a replacement, due to it having a removable lid so I could properly clean it, in case it accumulated any ick. It was a bad idea.First, it did not draw water out of the air like the previous unit. I would empty the other one (because it was full) about every week and a half, even in the winter months. I've had this unit for two months (granted it is the winter) and it's barely accumulated an inch of water. Going back and reading the other reviews, others in cold climates have had the unit perform poorly. I guess my entry way was just too cold in the winter for it to work.I think it finally broke, as it now runs very noisly and is still poor at collecting water. And, since the return window has closed, I guess it goes in the trash. Very sad.

Perfect for a small area (like a bathroom) to quickly reduce the dampness that usually lingers! I have been impressed with how well it works.

I use this humidifier in my laundry area where I have a vent-less washer/dryer combo. It does a great job keeping the humidity down especially during the summer. This is a small space so it is just the right size.

I did not buy as big and expensive a unit as I should have for my square footage and high humidity readings, so I knew this wouldn’t be super effective for my needs. However, I expected it to fill up faster, considering how humid my place is. On days measuring 65%-75% humidity, less than 2 cups of water will be in the collector. I needed something that wouldn’t overload my breakers with my a/c units in the summer, so I chose this small dehumidifier. It sits on a table in my living room. I have a small apt but I keep the doors to my bedroom and kitchen open to the living room so that my cat can roam freely and I can try to level out the temperature. I wish I could find a more effective unit that is low wattage.
