This is an excellent cleaning product for teak.After filling a spray bottle with water and spraying down an old, teak bench that I wanted to rejuvenate, I sprayed the Star Brite on sparingly and let it sit a couple minutes. I’d gotten the bench from my folk’s house years ago and never made the effort to clean it up and let it be a bench.I could practically see all the years’ build up of dirt and grime separate from the wood. However, I had to let the handyman do the scrubbing because of my Parkinson's. I watched him scrub away with a firm bristle scrub brush; it took him some work but the bench really came clean. After he went through the process twice, the bench looked like wood again, completely free of gray and black build-up.This condition is not exactly what the product page may be interpreted as saying what cleaning with Star Brite will achieve. Yes, it cleans and brightens, but only in the sense that the wood is much brighter and clearer when clean than when dirty and gray.This product is not for refinishing or restoration, nor does the product page say or imply that it is. After cleaning, you’ll need to use teak oil to make the wood shine. The combination of the teak cleaner and brightener with teak oil honestly made my bench look like I had just made or purchased it. It took some work but the end result was well worth it.

This is such a great product for cleaning all teak. Ive used other products, and methods before on my outdoor teak tables, but nothing came close to how effective this product worked. Follow the instructions, and you will bring all of your teak items right back to life with this cleaner. Most of my teak was in relatively good shape, but I had one neglected small table that cleaned right up, and was restored to its natural beauty with just using this one product. I can’t recommend this product enough!

This restored my outdoor patio furniture. I did wash off with a power washer.

Wow, this wood cleaner is impressive! I'm not certain if the wood I used it on is teak, but it certainly refreshed its appearance. I applied it to a section of fence that had been weathered by rain over time. After letting it sit for a few hours and scrubbing it, I was amazed at how much it brightened up. Now, it looks noticeably brighter than the other parts of the fence, so I'll need to apply it to the rest. Looks like I might need more of this stuff!

I have a lot of experience working with teak on a classic schooner. Star Bright was a product we used where we had oiled teak that hadn’t been cleaned in a few years and it worked well. I saw this new spray bottle and had to try it. I have 2 teak side tables that have been outside in the summers for years and needed help. Even with my experience I was surprised at how well this spray Star Bright Teak Cleaner & Brightener worked. I first sprayed one table with water and let it soak in for a few minutes. I then sprayed the Star Bright on small sections at a time. I let it soak for less than a minute and then used a stiff bristle brush on it. The surface and brush turned a thick grey as it cleaned of the dirty and greyed surface. It did not take much brushing, nor did I use very much force on the brush. I then rinsed it off and went on to the next section. After rinsing you can easily see how well it worked and several times there were a few dirtier areas that I sprayed and brushed a second time. These side tables have a lot of nooks and crannies, so it took a bit to get every surface. I spent maybe 15 to 30 minutes on one table. The results are amazing as you can see in the pictures. The last picture is both of my tables side by side. The table I cleaned had a much dirtier surface. It had a lot of black areas along with the grey. I am very please with this product and highly recommend it.

The spray bottle makes application a breeze – just a few spritzes and you're ready to scrub. No more mixing or messy concoctions to deal with. This is a huge plus for someone like me who isn't exactly a cleaning pro.Another thing I liked was that it seemed to work pretty quickly. The directions say to let the cleaner sit on the teak for a few minutes before scrubbing, but I could already see a noticeable difference in the color after just a minute or two. A little scrubbing with a stiff brush, and my deck looked like it had years shaved off its age! Now, it is important to note that for badly weathered teak, the instructions recommend using a stiff bristle brush or a scrub pad for tougher areas. My teak wasn't in terrible shape, so a light scrub with a regular brush did the trick. But for more neglected decks, a little extra elbow grease might be required.My deck looks bright and beautiful again, and it didn't take hours of scrubbing to achieve that. If you're looking for a quick and easy way to revive your teak furniture or deck, I highly recommend giving this product a try!

I tried this product on the teak flooring of by boat, and although it did clean off the little bit of dirt on the wood, it didn’t make it look any nicer. I read the directions and used it as instructed (it’s very simple to use - spray, let sit for a few minutes, scrub with a brush, and then rinse off), and even went through the process twice like it suggests for “extremely dirty” wood.The left picture is before, the right is after. The diagonal line at the top is from where the cover sits. To try to see how much it worked, I only used the product on the right half of the picture. You can see a faint change in the middle of the wood on the “after” picture, and it really wasn’t much more noticeable in real life.It seems like it worked well for the other reviewers, just didn’t do much for me. I would try it on something different, but we don’t have anything else that’s teak.
