After doing a lot of research I decided to try the Ring security system as opposed to using a company to install one in the house. Everything is incredibly easy to install, with regards to the sensors, it really is as simple as peel off a sticker and stick them on, the hardest part of the process is finding the correct place to place the items. I found that you can install the full system (medium) within 20 minutes. It is also exceptionally easy to add-on products to the system if you decide you want extra security at a later date. Furthermore if you have a Ring doorbell cam the Assisted Monitoring is included in the same price as the monthly subscription for your camera and it is definitely worth it for the peace of mind. It means that should your alarm go off it will go through each of your emergency contacts and call them letting them know about the alarm going off.

This is a brilliant system taking into account cost, ease of installation and more importantly ease of ongoing use. We have 2 properties and now use the Ring system in both, I have a combination of cameras, alarm system and the Doorbell. All work seamlessly together and very easy to manage on the Ring app. I replaced a professionally installed wireless system with Ring. Yes there is an ongoing cost for the extra monitoring and recording of events, but for me it's worth every penny. My only advice would be to keep an eye on Amazon for the deals and discounts that frequently happen with Ring products and when you are buying drill down into the various kits and what they include, sometimes you can buy a smaller kit with additional sensors free as add ons.

Quality very good. Charging when needed easy. Moto detection very good. Coverage of the ring doorbell and se ses really good and accurate. Sound quality perfect as not too loud but just right to allow you to hear anywhere in my house or even in the garden as base is located in middle of house

Individual components are relatively expensive to buy separately, so consider carefully which starter pack to get - especially if you can get it in a sale, which seems typically only to be on the bundles. It's really easy to set up, all sensors have options for either 3M adhesive or screw mounts (both included), and works pretty well. My main gripe is 'Mode Schedules': this works great to have a nightly transition to 'home mode' (door/window sensors armed, but not motion) and disable again in the morning before you leave. The problem is that when you go on holiday, and set it to 'away mode', your scheduled transition will still go to 'home' at night and worse 'disabled' in the morning! It ought to be possible to set a prior mode condition on the schedule, i.e. only do the 'home overnight' example if currently either home or disabled. More minor issue with the app is that when you go to view devices or events, it always defaults to showing cameras - even if you don't have any - and you then have to change the drop down to alarm. All in all though, I think it's a good system & we're happy with it.

Overall this isn’t bad alarm system works well. Easy to set up and looks nice and neat. Simple design which works.

This is a great piece of kit to make your home feel more secure. Super easy to set up and no drilling needed! I’d recommend this to anyone wanting to feel more secure in their home. Well worth the money!

Easiest setup I have ever done. I was worried about battery life in the sensors as my previous alarm was fully wired but the batteries seem to last for ages I haven’t changed mine since I purchased the alarm system. The alarm itself is fully featured with remote access and Alexa although I haven’t used it with Alexa yet.

Good value and appearance. very reliable, feel safer. The app functionality is decent, and the sizes are alright.
